Although the Sera thermo-safe pad seemed like a good enough product, as the new underlay for a 40 litre goldfish aquarium, it was useless, as it arrived damaged. (Pictures attached) The underlay seemed to be damaged prior to packing in a large cardboard box, as there was no visible damage to the box, which was fully intact. The surface damage to the pad rendered the thermo-pad worthless and meant that unlike promised in the listing, the sera thermo-safe pad wouldn't be SAFE, and able to reduce the danger of my glass aquarium breaking, it more likely would cause tension cracks. Upset as German reviewers mentioned a good product, with no recorded damage like my pad had sustained. In the midst of lockdown, it was not the easiest either to arrange return for refund, print return labels (with no printer at home) so all in all frustration over a totally unnecessary experience. May have recommended the pad if it was intact, as I feel it possibly would have given the necessary cushioning, but as it was....NO WAY! Unable to test it even.
