MXRMini Dyna Comp Bass Compressor Effect Pedal (M282)

This thing has really beefed up my sound and the sustain is awesome. First night I used it a guy came up during a break and said he was a bass player as well and he really liked my tone. Never had that happen before.

Purchased the MXR Dyna Comp Bass Compressor Effect Pedal from GearTree through Amazon. The product description states that a Dunlop ECB003 9-Volt adapter is included as part of the purchase, however, the adapter was not included with the item as received. GearTree passes the buck, blaming Amazon fulfillment, which is not set up to provide a missing item, but it is clear the adaptor was never really part of the package.The thing is, it's still a good price, adaptor or not, and is a great pedal, so why misrepresent (aka lie)? This pedal does not take a battery, so if I needed it right away, I would have been in trouble.

Excellent out of the box compression, skips the extreme levels of adjustment even if you want them.Allows you to fine tune compression within it's defined range.Perfect addition to any bass pedal board.

I tried this in a store and passed on it and then regretted it when I went back to buy it and it was sold. This really tightens up my bass tone and makes everything sound very full. I just started using those live and I can never go back to playing without it.

This works well, but if you want to have adjustable attack get the full size version for roughly the same price. Both are great, but the small one on has 2 settings for attack rather than variable. It worked great for me because I like soft attack, but the hard attack was too much in my opinion.

Compressor sounds like exactly what I was looking for: good range of compression options, blend control, no low end loss. Only problem is that it clips when playing almost any note on higher strings. Maybe that’s just because my thunderbird’s pickups have slightly higher output than other basses, but others have also reported this problem on talkbass. Running at 18v also does not fix the clipping issue even with the additional headroom.

Amazing pedal for electric bass guitar! Great for Slap players, any style of music. Its a must have! Smooths out those loud highs and brings out your rumbling lows, but you can also still get that attack and loud slap sounds are nice and clean. The dyna comp has an attack boost button, that boosts your mids. Also has a Sensitivity and Tone knob. Get the best bass tone with MXR' s Dyna Comp Bass. A must have for gigging musicians! Absolutely made my bass tone way better!

The pedal itself is nice, worth the money, and the only reason im rating this so low is due to false advertising. Product description states that it "includes Dunlop ECB003 9-volt AC adapter" yet no adapter was included. Now I know it's not unusual for pedals to not include power supply, but seeing as the product description clearly states that it comes with one included, I am disappointed. I highly encourage the seller to stop falsely advertising their product.

Disappointing 'customer experience' as Apple would say - you spend £160 and you can't use it because there's no power cable supplied...! I'm sure it's my fault since I didn't read the 'small print'. But there we are.....
