Economic, Easy, and Fun
This is my 3rd Schooley reel and I paired it with an HT Ice Blue rod that I got for xmas for panfishing. People might turn their nose up at plastic items but this works well and puts fish on the ice. I don't rough up my gear, but if this ever broke, it's not breaking the bank to get a new one! I do wish they came with an extra depth marker, but I have to keep on eye on the one.

Cheap and easy
Just like my ex.I mounted it on a drum stick for a very compact kayak bait rig.Can fit 2 of them in my tackle box.

Schooley's ice fishing real
They work great, don't freeze up, and you can set the drag easily. Only complaint is that when cold they break easily if dropped.
