The Comet CF-416A HF-VHF/UHF Transceiver Duplexer is a high-performance device designed to connect two different band transceivers to a single dual band antenna, or to separate one transceiver to two distinct band antennas. With a frequency range of 1.3-170MHz and 350-540MHz, it features PL-259 connectors on input leads and a combined output with an SO-239 connector, making it an essential tool for both amateur radio and commercial use.

2 for 1 or 1 for 2
great device to have to run 2 mobile radios 2 / 440 2/ten meter or 2 different antennas which some radios do have dual antenna hookups and I have not noticed any receive reduction on either side of splitter and as for vswr stays right on the money for band coverage I run 2 radios and some times 3 depending on who I am chatting with just have to run a switch network most of the time I'm running a kiruson pt8200 and a yeasu ft-1802m and can talk on both bands at the same time and not inter fear with each other I was a skeptic until I putt this in line and also have more then one uhf vhf radios going at the same time and it seem to tighten up receive up so the other radio does not effect receive on same repeater I'm waiting to try out a quad split when I get my new all band base

Comet Duplexer - Good Purchase
Anything made by Comet is of good quality and the CF-416A Duplexer is no exception. Great Isolation between the UHF and VHF bands. I would highly recommend this item. Five Stars.

Short term usage
Purchased one for Kenwood TS-2000, worked great so purchased second one and after four month of usage the first stopped working on UHF and with in 30 days the second also stopped working. Did the normal testing of connectors and radio, found that it was internal due to cheap disk capacitors used and how poorly they were installed during manufacturing. Purchased MFJ to replace, hope it last longer than 3 months.

Buy Japanese, not Chinese
Works as expected. Using to separate UHF/VHF from an ICOM IC-7000 into stacked beams.

You can successfully connect one transceiver to two antennas or one antenna to two transceivers.
Works as intended. Easy to install. Well made.

Quite good, but...
Was a little bit confused about SWR rising up on both bands. The difference is not high indeed, just 0.15 plus the reference figure (1.1)

It works well and is built very well to my needs
It already comes with integrated lines to attach to the radios SO 239, and antenna coax. I have been told my signal seems to be received quite clear. No complaints.
