Beats a ballast any day.
For a few years now I have been replacing fluorescent tubes with these LED tubes anytime I have a ballast get weak or burn up. I love them. They are instantly on and at full brightness. They use a lot less power and produce more and better light. They seem to last forever as I have not had to replace one yet.It takes a little electrical skill to convert a light, but it isn't hard. I usually completely remove the existing ballast which makes the fixture weigh less and sometimes smell better. Then I use the existing wires inside the fixture to tie the opposite ends of the bulb sockets across the 120V line. No more blinking, buzzing, or black ended bulbs. These are great and I think they are worth the price over the long haul.

Perfect for our office
Our office has had lighting issues since day one. We have 4' fluorescent fixtures throughout (double ballast, 4 T12 bulbs per), and we have constantly had issues with either bulbs failing or ballasts failing. We are preparing to open back up for the first time since COVID hit and are getting the office ready for in-person services again. Part of that was to address our lighting issues. We knew we wanted to do LED but hadn't pulled the trigger yet. With an electrician coming to do a couple other things, we decided to go ahead and order these. It was a great decision. We had our electrician do all the electrician wizard-y stuff (bypassing the ballasts) and installed these guys. Just hefting a bulb in your hand, they feel just a hair on the cheap side since it's all pretty much plastic, but they installed just fine and fired right up. They give off the perfect amount of light, and the 4000k color is perfect for an office: nice and bright without giving off the hospital vibe.ONE WORD OF CAUTION: DO NOT BUY THIS THINKING THEY ARE PLUG AND PLAY. THEY AREN'T! We bought them knowing we'd have to bypass the ballasts. If you just plug these into a fluorescent fixture without bypassing the ballast, you will probably burn out the bulbs, melt something in the fixture, and maybe cause a fire. The listing makes it very clear that these are not interchangeable with regular fluorescent bulbs, yet almost every single one of the negative reviews of this product complains about how they either didn't realize they had to bypass the ballast or complains about the bulbs flickering, burning out, or melting (all symptoms of not having bypassed the ballast). Be smarter than these people and read the actual description of product. If you buy these after researching exactly what you need, you will really like these bulbs.

Great Light for Great Price
I purchased this product for full price on Amazon. I have to admit that I thought I was buying plug and play lighting to switch out my fluorescent bulbs. THESE ARE NOT PLUG AND PLAY. However, after YouTubing some installation instructions, I am very pleased with the lights. They are easy to install once you understand what you are doing. I will do my best to explain how I installed them.First: and most importantly, turn off the breaker that supplies power to the light fixture.Next: it was easiest to remove my fixture to work with it on the ground, this is not necessary and probably could have been done while still hungNext: remove ballast (transformer looking box) by cutting wires connecting it (tip, if you are going to use this again, leave a few inches of wire coming out)Next: determine which side of your fixture is going to be the neutral (white wire) side and line side (typically black wire). It really doesn’t matter which side is which as long as ALL the tombstones (part where bulb slides in) on each side receives a neutral connection or a Line connection (see my terribly drawn diagram)Next: Cut and strip wires to be connected and use wire nuts (or your connector of choice) to secure the connectionsNext: Reinstall fixture (if you took it down), reconnect your neutral/line supply (from ceiling/switch), slide new LED bulbs in tombstonesNext: ENJOY YOUR NEW LED LIGHTThe quality of light is a vast improvement over the fluorescent bulbs we were using. I put these up in a laundry room inside my house. I will be converting my garage lighting next. I am glad that I mistakenly bought these bulbs because I found out afterwards they consume less electricity due to removing the ballast. Plug and play LED might be the easiest solution to upgrade your lights, but this is not much more work and a much better solution. Overall I am very happy with my new LED lights! If this review helped you make your purchasing decision, I would appreciate a helpful click!

Perfect replacement for the traditional light tubes using ballast
I just replaced 10 old light tubes that were using ballasts, and absolutely love these new ballastless light tubes! No more buzzing noise, no more long delay for the light to come up. Some rewiring work is required but is not a problem to me. I am ordering 50 more to replace all the old tubes in my house. Hope they will last as long as advertised, time will tell, but so far they are great!

Bright and even light, great color temp
These 4K lights are a great replacement for the old fluorescent bulbs. The rewiring of the existing fixtures was straightforward. Only complaint is that one of the bulbs was dead on arrival. Since I had ordered two packs of 4 bulbs, it was not easy to return/replace just the one bulb. So I bought another box of 4!

The lamps are evenly illuminated.

Good company just didn’t work for me
The bulbs did not work in my fixture. They would illuminate then one by one would turn off. Apparently the connection was not tight in my fixture because they were still working bulbs

Bright, fairly affordable, needs ballast bypass
I was looking to improve the lighting in our garage which had 4 light fixtures with 2 T8 fluorescent tubes which would not light up right away and wouldn’t work well in the cold. Debated between a new LED fixture and replacing the bulbs with LEDs. Was a bit hesitant about the ballast bypass, as I didn’t know what was involved, and I have 3 different brands for light fixtures. The process was pretty straightforward, there are basic wiring instruction for which wires need to be connected to the hot side and neutral side, and I got it right on my first try.The next ones were even easier, even with different brands that have their own way of accessing the ballast. With all of the fixtures rewired, and new LED bulbs installed, there is so much more light in the garage! Easily 2-3 times brighter than the 45W tube lights that were in there. And it turns on instantly, draws less power, doesn’t get hot, and should hopefully last a while! Very happy overall, definitely consider if you have the old fluorescent tube lights.

High quality light, instant-on, easy to install
The media could not be loaded. Very satisfied with this light. It was easy to install but required a ballast bypass. Hot to one tombstone, neutral to the other, and that's all there was to it. This is good because - if you're at the point where you need to replace fluorescent lights, chances are your ballast isn't far behind, so you may as well choose the product (this one) that won't have you doing maintenance again in a few months. Quality of the light is excellent, it is instant-on, and I've detected no flicker. We have discontinued use of fluorescent lights and now exclusively install these.Take care when handling the old ballast if it was manufactured pre-1980 as it may contain PCBs.

Quality is good and price is competitive.
Arrived on time and in good condition. I’ve installed 6 of them so far, all working well.

Provides sufficient amount of brightness
Bought these tubes as a garage retrofit for several in-place dual 32w florescent fixtures. They were purposely sourced as warmer colour temperature (4k natural white) and is perfect for my needs. These tubes came well-packed, with 100% operatable. Price was reasonable.Overall, these lights are a big leap in light over the floros. I easily removed the ballasts and the tubes come on instantly and do not flicker or hum, especially in a cold unheated space.Yup, quite satisfied with them. Hope they will last a long while (as advertised)!

Great brightness. Easy to install
This was my first time replacing Fluorescent tubes with LEDs. Watched a couple of videos on You tube first, so I had an idea of what I was in for. Pretty simple really. Removed the old tubes, removed the cover of the wires and ballast, then removed the ballast. (that was actually the hardest part). Took the wires going to one end of the fitting and connected them to the neutral, then the same with the wires going to the other end of the fitting - connected them to the hot feed. Replaced the cover, and installed the tubes, making sure that the LED side of the tube was facing downwards. Turned on the power. Voila - brightness!Feel very confident tackling the rest of my fittings and converting them to LEDsI recommend this product
