I needed a hook that could hold up a heavy grid but still allow for it to be lifted off when needed. I hadn't known these existed. So good were they (and so easy to fix) I bought a large selection of sizes for all my needs. Drill hole, fit rawplug, screw in hook. All six used took 15 minutes to fit.I have since used them in wood, brick, and cement.

These are an item that I invented inside my head and then looked for on the internet, so, obviously, they are what I was looking for.Potential improvements:Wouldn't hurt to increase the proportion of the shaft that is threaded (maybe by half as much again).Would be good to have slightly more medium-duty versions (say 5 mm shaft, in various lengths, with finer hook end -- that might not sound much, but would increase the versatility of the product).It is worth knowing that you will need a Philips no. 2 screwdriver for these (Pozidriv will not engage properly and will cam out easily, probably stripping the head in the process).

Nice strong hooks, with the added cross screw embedded into the top of the hook to make things even easier. I have lost most of them to friends in need already, good job I only needed three.

I bought these to secure a slate memorial plaque to my garden fence. The piece of slate didn't have any holes drilled in and I don't want to crack it by adding them so I thought I could secure it on the fence using 2 of these at the top and 2 at the bottom, meaning it will only be a couple of centimetres away from the surface. Should work well.

Overall an excellent product, but the steel is a bit soft - power screwdrivers have a tendency to strip the head, even with a pilot hole.The hook head means you can still screw/unscrew them with a spanner if that happens though, so it's not a big deal
