THE best controller accessory I've ever used. This needs more coverage. Fits new and old Dualshock models.
You know. There are only so many PS4 controller accessories. It takes just a quick Google search to reveal how limited the options really are. So, here I was just perusing Amazon with a little money to burn when I stumbled upon the Pandaren FPS Armor Gear Case.As for accessories, I own Kontrol Freeks and the Strike Pack FPS Dominator. The standard fare of accessories that most people at some point have an interest in. The thing is, in-case you don't know. Most accessories go on and off your controller in an short lived debate over if it's actually better. They require commitment. "X" amount of time to get used to it. In my personal experience, Kontol Freeks are good just as often as they're bad so I don't use them, and the FPS Dominator is stellar, but it forced me to hold the controller in such a way that even though the paddle placement was great, my aim went to crap because I couldn't grip the controller in the most natural way. Rather than learn to play shooters from scratch again I just took it off. I'm glad to say this is the FIRST controller accessory that makes the experience better with no draw backs.I write reviews on occasion but never for something this budget minded. I'm only writing now because I'm literally blown away by how much I like this thing. If you're like me and you're looking at this wondering if it's uncomfortable or cheap then read on. Here's the low down. The controller case is hard plastic coated in a soft-touch matte finish. If you've ever held an old school black Macbook, a Chromebook CR-48, or a Google Nexus 5, it's that stuff. That good, soft, comfortable, grippy-goodness. As far as fit the shell is molded extraordinarily well. The controller doesn't so much as flinch in the case. Fitment is "A" grade. "A" vs "A+" because there is one line on my controller that wont quite go flush. We're talking 1/4 mm here. Barely wide enough to force your nail into, right down by the headset jack.In fairness, this little gap is your only saving grace to remove it. Which brings me to removing it. THAT, is a pain. Not by poor design and it does no harm to the controller, it just fits so seamlessly that it's hard to find a seam to try to pry the case off. In my book that's not a con. Would you rather it had big bulging gaps? I didn't think so. The extended triggers come uninstalled so in other words, they're removable if you don't like them. The biggest pros to this case are in no particular order, the added grip, the soft surface with matte finish, the quality of the added button overlays for action keys (X, O, Square, and Triangle), THE FACT THAT IT MAKES THE DS4 THE PERFECT SIZE!. If you like the way a XBOX One controller feels you will definitely like this. If I had to guess (and I do) I'd say it adds 12 - 15% to the size on the controller, but it raises the buttons to compensate and to the perfect height. Button presses are tactile and positive. If anything it's more tactile in feel than the stock DS4's squishy button press.Lastly, what kind of reviewer would I be if I couldn't mention the "eh's". The trigger extenders are functionally correct with no pop-offs or free-play, but they may or may not be to everyone's liking. This is no biggie however as you can just leave them off. It in no way interferes with the stock triggers if you just run the case without the extenders. This one is neutral, but even without them the case is still worth it.Next up is the fact that it comes with NO INSTRUCTIONS. Not a biggie because you basically just snap it on over the controller. It's like age 3 Lego simple. The D Pad.... Hmm... Well the implementation is spot on, it definitely works every time. However, it's the one bit you'll have to adjust to. Whereas the action buttons are just a straight up upgrade the D-Pad is a side grade. It's by no means bad, but your muscle memory will need to adjust and you will want to jump into your favorite game and see which of the 3 included D Pad buttons you prefer. Then let muscle memory do the rest. That being said it's nothing like adjusting to Kontrol Freeks or adjusting to having paddles on the back of a controller. Lastly full disclosure on fit. There's a little D Pad piece that goes on top of you stock D Pad BEFORE you put on the case. I din't know that and assembled it first and had to disassemble it. In fairness it fit FLAWLESSLY with zero gap the first time. Not even a hairline seam before I removed it, so my 1/4 mm gap (it's seriously tiny) may only exist because of when I removed it (I'm positive it has nothing to do with the D Pad piece that I installed since).TLDR; If you like XBOX One controllers, wish that there was a bit more size to the Dualshock 4, or just want a better controller for the PS4 or want to hide yours because the dog chewed it up, this is it. 9.5 out of 10. It's seriously going to be so much better than you think. That's why it has all these high reviews. Everybody can't be wrong.

Get this now. Do it.
I'm careful with my things but I do play a bit aggressively. (The aggressive bit comes into play later) As much as consoles and all the accessories cost, I consider it an investment and am willing to go the extra mile to protect said investment. I *am* careful with my things, maybe even a bit OCD, but accidents happen, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE GUILTED INTO LETTING SOMEONE ELSE PLAY ON YOUR SYSTEM. And because it's considered not polite to punch someone in the throat when they are careless with your things, Armor Gear is your friend. (I also find that behaving erratically and mumbling to yourself to be a great deterrent. Do that well enough, and they won't even want to play with you if you offer all nice like.)This product is sturdy. Easy to put on the controller as long as you don't caveman it. There are no instructions, but it's pretty cut and dried once you look at the pieces. I do find that the thumb pads will come off depending on the game I'm playing, as I tend to play a little aggressively sometimes. But I don't consider that a design flaw, rather an issue with how I play. But I thought I'd throw that out there for those of you that do the same. No contact/orientation issues with the directional pad or buttons with the Armor on. It closed well with no gaps, and has not budged since I put it on. The texture is slightly grippy, not slick plastic (thank the gods, the old and the new), and not that gross overly tacky grippy. The L2/R2 triggers can be left off if you prefer, which is nice. I don't know if there are issues with a charging cradle not being able to access the ports as was stated in other reviews - I just use the usb cable.I haven't dropped it, and don't plan on doing so, so I cannot attest to it durability in that regard. I can tell you that the thumb pads come off while I'm playing sometimes, and other than that (which is no fault of the Armor, * I * think), this is an awesome case for my PS4 controller. Plus, it looks nice.Easy recommend.

Skip this and buy their Silicon Controller case instead.
I like the idea, but the system for pressing the buttons is flawed. They are not as responsive as the stock controller once you attach the case. There is too much friction between the raised buttons and the case. So Square, O, Triangle, and X take longer to "rebound" than they do alone.... But, if that were fixed? I would definitely buy. But at this point?? I had to return it. However, I did buy the Pandaren Silicon Case instead that came with thumbstick covers, and I must admit I LOVE IT. I am a taller guy with big hands and the silicon case made the controller about 10% bigger feeling, and it's a game-changer (no pun intended).

Amazing case, excellent control.
I received my case today and had no trouble out of mine. The buttons are really large and easy to press and do not stick. They are rubber so I'd imagine if you got one with a sticky button you could easily shave the side of the button and it would work fine. The d pad adapter adds amazing control in fighting games which seem to benefit the most from this case. The triggers are much easier to hit as well in emergency situations in fps games and also feel great. This whole kit is just amazing for the price. If you have a scuffed up controller or just don't like the way the DS4 feels I would totally recommend this. Plus the buttons are removable meaning it could easily be painted to any color you like.

Good but maybe not for the price
Everything is awesome about it except 2 things1 mine doesn't close all the way but it's not really an issue since it doesn't fall apart2 the left trigger broke easy. The triggers are kinda useless since they don't shorten the travel time they just make you have a better feel.
