Historiography: An Introductory Guide

The book is aptly named. It definitely provides a good introduction of historiography that traces the development of historiography until the modern times.

This is an excellent work of history. The author is able to relay the information in away that is universal for any level of academia. I recommend this to any person interested in the history of history and will definitely be reading it again.

It's been a while since I've done much work in the history biz, but this book served me very well throughout graduate school.

A good rundown of historiographic trends in European/American history beginning with the Renaissance historians. Written in a concise and plain style that makes an esoteric subject easy to grasp. A good read for someone interested in a graduate degree in history.
