Durable Cutter and Scraper - Great Value
All metal construction, very solid heft and feel. White paint is easily scratched, but you probably didn't buy for the pretty paint job. Blade is very secure when installed in box cutter opening, less secure but adequate when in the scraper mode. Comparing prices and quality with other blades, this one is a great value.

Perfect basic box cutters w/convenient but rudimentary scraper built-in
4½ stars overall.5 stars for the box cutting (primary function), 2½ for the scraper feature. This is what I expected.Box cutter is traditional standard that uses straight edge razor blades that are easy to find and replace. Each box cutter in this set comes with a replaceable and reversible blade. These are well-made in all aspects related to use as a box cutter. They efficiently slice through typical cardboard. Very heavy-duty cardboard or 2+ sheets glued together could take 2-3 cuts. For occasional scraper use they are OK. You remove the razor blade from within the cutter and slide it into the holder on the opposite end to use as a scraper. The only thing is, the blade is not held tightly in place in this configuration and is somewhat dangerous—it could slip out sideways if you don't use it cautiously.Overall they are a bargain, and there are few basic box cutters like this that double as scrapers on the market. It is great to have that option at hand without carrying multiple tools.

Works good, would purchase again
These were cheap and did the job, I really needed something that would hold the blades from the back, but didn't cover up the blade depth. These were perfect. The blade is a little too easy to slide out left to right in the section that hols it from the back. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars

Simple, effective tool!
The built in scraper is the real seller on this simple cutter. For my girlfriend I wanted something easy to use because of her hand surgeries! Easy use tool!

One of this tools that makes life simpier
Over the years we have managed to misplace the last few or our box cutters - with the final one having gone missing last week. They would last forever if we would just stop losing them. This box of 12 should last us another 20-30 years. They are well made and have a reassuring 'solid feel'. They cut cardboard just like one expects.

The Search is finally over
I’ve been looking for these for a long time. It’s not easy to find a Box Knife that is also a scraper. I looked for these every time I went to a hardware store. Every time disappointed. Every place had a box cutter but not the combination box cutter/scrapper. The search is finally over. Good quality!!

Cheap, dangerous…
I like the concept, but in actual use, these are kind of dangerous and very cheaply made. Already broke one with very little effort. It’s super easy to accidentally slide out the blade from its sleeve. The body is also just a thin piece of metal folded into the shape. There is no glue, no spot welds, nothing.. which leaves a seam right down the center of the widest width. When you remove the center part to move the blade and use the scraper function, the metal sleeve sort of collapses a bit due to a natural spring effect from manufacturing. When reinserting the center body, it’s easy to mangle up the parts an get it jammed. Hard to explain but it happened multiple times to me and I typically don’t have trouble using tools.Lastly, the scraper part is just a fold of metal held together with a poor metal crimp. A little force and the crimp popped loose, effectively making the scraper inoperable as it no longer can hold a blade. A simple spot weld would have made this so much more durable.. but at the least, a proper crimp?Unfortunately, I purchased these primary for the scraper function and most of these will likely fail as the first did.
