Pivot Lantern

Piece of junk. Didn't work out of the box. Not a surprise based upon the poor quality of the product.

This is a terrific little lantern. You can position it to direct the light wherever you want. I have a couple of these in strategic places in our home just in case of a power outage.

Lantern was received in four pieces, probably because the plastic is rather brittle and has little strength. Poor battery compartment design resulted in intermittant operation. Switch was also defective and would only operate in "low power" mode, lighting 10 of the 20 LEDs. Tiny screws were too short to reliably hold unit together. Reconstructed battery compartment, replaced switch and reinforced case to use larger screws. Lantern now works well but I doubt that most people would go to this much trouble for a $10 lantern. I already have this lamp which I use in my caravan and find it very good for reading by - I have bought two more for 2 Uni students for their workstations as this 20 led gives a good light. My one disappointment was that each of the boxes they were in (they came together in one parcel)were very badly damaged with all the corners caved in. Fortunately the lamps themselves were not damaged but I would have liked the presents to have looked a bit smarter on the outside as well as being a useful gift

Purchased for my son who makes and paints models. He is very happy with this lamp and is much safer being battery operated. The light is very bright and can have on 2 different sttings.Also the batteries last a long time.
