I have sensitive plants in regards to water and sedums that need to be checked. I used it and I was over watering and should be able to save my Bird of Paradise and sedums now. I'll use it daily. A good buy and a needed one.

It’s great it’s accuracy is the best plus it’s easy to use I’ll keep this around for a really long time.

Low cost. Very useful. Easy to use.

We find this very inconvenient to use, due to a short probe. It is really only suitable for 4-6” pots, at most, & only if they are at tabletop height. Any pot at floor level means that when you have probed the soil, that you can’t see the dial. If you have larger plants or tropical trees, the probe doesn’t push into 5he soil deep enough to let you know how dry the soil is at root level. Very disappointing.

EDITED REVIEW: Received it today, placed it in 2 different flower pots that were quite moist to the touch, and the needle barely registered any moisture at all (it moved 1 notch, still in the Dry region). I opened the unit to see if we could calibrate it, but we cannot. I bought a different one from a local store and same issue. So I waited a few days, watered the plants, waited 1 more day and lo and behold, it reads correctly (7th notch, the highest notch in the moist region). The scale/sensitivity is just not useful to me though; my fingers are better at this - too bad we cannot calibrate the unit.

my plants are now getting the right amount of water! some are not needing water, others need it, and this sensor is great. before this I was watering some too much, and they were getting diseased leaves. neem oil treatment helped with that, and now we will not over water.

Really happy with this little device that quickly tells you the misture levl of yoru soil and so you can avoid overwatering plants, the number 1 killer of houseplants.

Meter works well but I wish it had a longer metal prong. Readings are skewed in my garden because the prong does not go down deep enough. Great for small flower pots only. At least that's my opinion.
