Makes the tank pop and is easy to know when its time to clean
The media could not be loaded. I’m a big fan of this black fish tank send. It really enhances the color of the plants in the tank. It makes it easy to scoop out any floaty things in the bottom. I did notice that some of the sand ended up floating to the top and little balls when I first poured it in. After smashing it between my fingers it broke it up and saying to the bottom. Other than that it has been extremely easy to clean it looks really nice in the tank.

love it hate it
This sand is great but super hydrophobic and silty. Plant roots thrive and green just pops. I found that sinking it in a container with a bubble stone full blast to keep it agitated for about 10 hours. Unless you have some powerful filtration don't be adding it to a live tank. The silk will smoke anything with gills.

Keeps Topsoil Dry and Looks Nice
Used this as a soil cover for my exotic houseplants. Just note that the sand repeals water so if you plan to use it as a soil cover you need to water slowly so it has time to absorb below the surface. That said, it keeps the topsoil nice and dry (to prevent fungus gnats), so it's perfect for what I needed it for.

This isn’t sand
This is garbage. Don’t buy it. It stunk of chemicals when I opened the bag. I read some of the other reviews so I tried rinsing it off before I actually used it. Thank god I did. More than half of it floated away. It’s not even real sand. Such a waste of money. I wish I could return it. Don’t buy this crap.

Makes my tank look beautiful
This is the first time of use sand in my aquarium and it worked out beautifully. I know other people were complaining that it’s hard to rinse but I literally got an old dish rag that I was willing to throw away and lined a colander with it and ran water through it for about 20 minutes to keep it from losing any sand. Then I took the towel with the sand in it and just unwrapped it into the aquarium. Any pieces that floated to the top I just skimmed out.

Super!
Liked the color, but it did cloud my water because I put the water in first and then the sand. 🤦♂️ Other than my idiocy, this sand looks great once it settled!

Black sand
Make sure you clean it well. And alot of it floats and locks up the motor on your hang on back filter system. I have had to take my filter apart several times to clean the sand out. If useing this product also get yourself some sponge pre-filters to put on the intake tube.

Looks good after it settles
After it settles it looks great. It does look bad for the first couple days until it settles. Easy to clean if you have a water suction thingy.

Disappearing sand
I lost most of it cleaning it before putting in the tank. I ended up just putting it in and letting my filter sort the floating balls and then just rinsed filter. Looks OK but not a lot of it
