Oil Rubbed Bronze is almost too black...
I nearly sent this bottle trap back. I purchased the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish to match our Kohler Devonshire faucet with the same color. But whereas the faucet has lightly colored accents around the edges, this bottle trap is void of such detail, and is pretty much black. Heck, the Kraus PU-10 Pop Up Drain we connected it to does a better job of matching the faucet.I also purchased bottle traps from Decolav and Kraus , and ended up sending those back. The Decolav seemed nice enough, but a bit underbuilt (mainly from an aesthetic point of view), with a finish that that was a bit lighter than desired. The Kraus trap fit the bill, but has an unsightly knurled nut on the back side of the bottle that knocked it out of the running. The Kohler trap is heavy and sufficiently large as to not be bogged down by heavy flow of water (I leak checked it using a garden hose, much higher flow than the 1.1 gallons per minute the bathroom faucet puts out), and has a large slotted cover on the underside that can be unscrewed to reveal the very simple innards for cleaning. All in all, quite the price premium on this trap compared to the others, but I'm hoping sufficiently well built that I'll never have to think of it again.

Beautiful piece of plumbing
I was having trouble deciding what to do under my floating glass counter for a trap. I have a Kraus sink and drain so I looked to see if they had an attactive Solution. I found their bottle trap and was thrilled. Looking for a good price I found that Kohler has a similar product. My comparison points between the two were: price(Kohler costs more), style (Kohler is cleaner without the Kraus nut with ridges), and quality (Kohler product weight is about double). The mass and clean style won out. Even though it isn't installed yet I am happy with my decision. It is a heavy chunk of well made metal. Not that there is anything wrong with my Kraus stuff, but the fit and finish on the Kohler is better. The bright chrome looks thicker and smoother, and fingerprints don't appear to show as much. The machining of ends and threads are more precise and smooth. The o,rings are a good tight fit on pipe, and clamp perfectly under the nut. I'll try to remember to update once it's installed.

Check building code
Nice product but check your local building code. Amazon return window had just closed when I discovered bottle trap is not legal in MA. Amazon agreed to take it back, but with 20% restocking charge

Cute and dead center (if possible)
It's cute and functional. Expensive, I guess; my plumber told me they have those bottle traps at Menard's for $30-$40...Plus, if you don't have it dead center with the sink and wall drain opening it's a waste (pun?). I got it such I don't have to cut into the bottom of my wall mounted under-sink cabinet (no doors), but had to get creative since I had about an 1 inch offset...

Amazing finish and packaging
Kohler is the best. If you want a clean trap for a wall mount sink, this is a beautiful product. Really nice packaging and instructions.

Beautiful very well-built piece but a bit more prone to clogging than a standard P-trap. However, it's very easy to clean with the included tool.

Looks good so far
Looks good so far. Easy to open and clean, I don't see the issue another poster complained about. You unscrew the bottom and can completely empty the trap. There is a tool for this in the box, although you could easily make one or use a toonie to do it.

Does not meet Ontario Building Code
This is a beautiful and well made piece! BUT it didn't pass inspection because it doesn't meet the Ontario Building Code. Very frustrating.
