very interesting book
Sewing has been my favorite since I was a little girl, well when I was old enough to be allowed to hold a scissor that is. I learned the skills of sewing from my mom and I loved it at first because it was a bonding moment with mom not that I considered it bonding at the time. I just liked cutting the cloths by following the lines. But as I grew it turned into something that relaxes me and keep me occupied on my spare time. I found many new good patterns in this book. Even though I am not a beginner by any definition I still got something out of this book. Like I never had the occasion to learn how to make the tab top curtains and found that here thus taking a some time to learn this and this book was a good place to start.

Sewing is so easy!
We depend up on department store for many of necessary items. In fact, most of those items come with very poor quality, but the price isvery high. Think about sewing your own curtains, blankets, kitchen cloths and many more other items at home itself. It will take only very little to make all this type of stuff, but we can save a lot. This book is very useful to learn basics of sewing. Author has explained how tosetup sewing machine and how to sew different parts of cloth. Very simple and easy to follow instruction.

Definetly great for beginners!
I thought I would be considered a beginning sewer. I think I am a beginners seamstress after reading this. It is fantastic for very new sewers. I am definitely going to do the majority of the crafts with my niece's and nephew,;as well as have them utilize the directions, by reading this book themselves

Great project
How many cute projects, however the digital doesn't offer any links that work. There was one that lets you a website that you had to pay for, other ones led to a food blog. But I would imagine a paper copy would be amazing.

No pics, constantly wants you to go to the website and give your email, lacks detail instructions
This has to be the most annoying book I have ever attempted to read. 1) No pictures! UNLESS 2) you sign up on her website for the gallery, and then only the finished project... not the steps illustrated. 3)The reminder to sign-up and get the free book every time you try to turn the page is just poor design. The first time you see it, sure... why not. I have an account I use just for these things so no skin off my nose to give an email address. But, I never got the free download, and then the same thing pops up every time I 'turned' the page! And every link throws you to the same page to sign up for your free download! The instructions for the projects you cannot see are brief, a.k.a. not detailed enough for beginners or beginner intermediates. While I knew terms at the beginning of the book, this was a good set of terms for beginners. I did like that there were not 500 terms you feel you need to memorize or you will never be able to sew. And the definitions were not long and drawn out, which can overwhelm you when you start sewing, so I did like this part of the book. The rest, well without the constant stalking and addition of pictures, it could have been a decent beginner book.

So helpful!
Sewing your own clothes and other items can be a great way to cut expenses, and this book is the perfect guide for how to get started. It's easy to understand and even includes a list of terms at the beginning for those who don't already know them. The first half is full of information about sewing machine parts and usage, and the second half has instructions for actual sewing projects like baby blankets, aprons, and a coin purse. If you're new at sewing, you'll want this book.

Way to go for sewing! I am so excited!
I really never knew how to sew. I mean the basic of sewing is there but learning more aside from basic is quiet challenging. This is a wonderful book and very easy to follow. The terms that a beginner needs to know is all in here. Setting up and exciting things to sew is really awesome. Thanks Kitty Moore. This is really exciting for me and my sister Janette.

Useful
Lots of nice ideas /projects with very simple instructions. Will no doubt give some of them a try especially as they lend themselves well to using small bits of fabric / scraps

Quick read!
I know a bit about sewing, I learnt it from my aunty. This book is aimed at beginners teaching them the basics about sewing and how to get started with it. I got to learn some new points from it and some I already knew by watching my aunty. Grab it if you have no knowledge about sewing. A quick read!

Not much instructional information about sewing techniques
Needs to teach more technique skills. Not just define sewing terms. Has a lot of projects in the back, that’s why it’s not getting an even lower rating.

Unlikely to help much
Very basic, full of errors such as incorrect measurements, missed steps, bizarre assumption of knowledge in places and sometimes total lack of measurements such as "you will need six pieces of fabric cut to whatever size you want" - how on earth is that supposed to help a beginner?Don't waste your time.
