Why are modern power cords so short? This is the reason! So you will buy extension leads! Typical! Anyway, I collect old gaming systems, and the universal replacement power supply cords that are available for the Famicom and Super Famicom, etc. typically come with only a three foot cord. That would be fine with modern systems tucked up on an entertainment center shelf, but these consoles were meant to sit on the floor beside you as you play, because that’s the 1980’s Japanese way of playing video games. The original cords were very long because of that, So, extensions for new power supplies are needed. These just work, they’re good quality and are nice and long. Since there is a pin difference between Nintendo Famicom, Sharp Twin Famicom, Famicom Disk System, Super Famicom, Sega Master System, And the two versions of Sega Megadrive/Genesis, make sure you check which one you need. These ones are the 5x2.5 connector. Some of those items need a smaller pin connector that they also sell. I bought both, and lots of them, because I have many consoles and it’s good to have spares!

I use these as extensions for my Dracast LED photography lights. I selected the short 6.5 foot lengths to reduce voltage drop. This still allows for at least a 10 foot distance between lights. The 22 AWG conductors are too small for long lengths, but work fine for a low amperage single light per extension . At full output, each of the LED lights takes about an amp of current at 12VDC . I use these along with a 4-way splitter to distribute the power from an AC adapter. That splitter (not this product) has an 18AWG main wire that splits to smaller 20AWG wires for each branch. Be mindful of voltage drop due to cable length, wire gauge and current draw to avoid overheating of your lights and the cables. These extension cables are quite adequate for my application. The quality is good and the cables are as described.

I used this 4-pack of cables to extend the distance of the Monitor power adaptors from the Monitors so I could get the 'bricks' off my desk. These cables are the right diameter to do just that with my Philips and Asus Monitors. A Hard to find size and really helped tidy up my 4 Monitor Set-up

Worked fine

I ordered these a while back and just now tried to use them. They seem like heavy duty cables HOWEVER, The center barrel in the female plug is WAY to big. Maybe this was a fluke since other reviews are favorable. I have tried this with 6 other male plugs and none of them fit.
