Giusto Sapore Basil Infused Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold Pressed, Imported from Italy - 8.5oz

Well, this smelled wonderful and I am sure if there had been anything left in the bottle it would have been delicious on the autumn salad I am making for Thanksgiving. It arrived today in a white Amazon envelope and the entire contents of the bottle had spilled into the wrapper and subsequently the envelope. And it can’t be returned. So I am out the blood orange olive oil I need AND I can’t return it.

My husband and I love good garlic oil. I usually buy Pastene brand directly from them, but I have to order a minimum of six bottles to make it cost effective. So I thought I'd try a different brand via Amazon. What a mistake! I tried this on Italian bread and it didn't even taste like garlic to me. Then I thought maybe it's just me, since I'd been sick, so I asked my husband to try it. His response was "Oh my God ... that's horrible!" So that was a waste of $15, since it can't be returned. Lesson learned.

I've recently been making my own very quick and simple salad dressings made of 1 part fruit infused balsamic and 1 part fruit infused olive oil. This is my very favorite. The Blood Orange mixed with either raspberry or blueberry balsamic is great over spring greens, followed by a dusting of goat cheese. Simple and elegant and best of all, delicious.

I love infused Olive Oil and when I travel to see my family in Italy, I always purchase some. Clearly there hasn’t been traveling, so so wanted to try this brand. I am not sure what to think of it. It’s...lemony, but just not the authentic taste I was looking for. If your not into a more authentic taste, then this will work.

Where's the tomato flavor? I received the bottle and my heart sank. It's just as green as every other bottle. If I get time I'll upload the pics. I already have 4-5 bottles of green olive oil so big whoop. Back to giving away my tomatoes as I really just love the oil.

A little expensive but worth it in the flavor. Purchased two bottles, had a hard time getting one bottle to open the metal cap would not break away when twisted. Finally had to take a screwdriver to pry the metal cap off.

I use this olive oil when I make brownies from scratch. The Blood Orange infused EVOO provides a nice taste to the chocolate in the brownies. Mix this oil with vinegar and you have a nice salad dressing.

I received a bottle of basil infused oil in a gift basket for Christmas. It was amazing. I was unable to find the same brand so I tried this one. There's only a little hint of basil in the flavor. I wish it was stronger.
