Stormy Kromer Men's Hat

Great hat for the really cold days. Not heavy. Stays put.

This wool hat is excellent for winters on a breezy sea coast where the only alternative is a watch. The only drawback is also its strength. It's not adjustable, but comes in a wide range of sizes. The up side is that if you get the right size, it fits very well. The downside is that if you buy it online you'd better be prepared to return it one or two times to get the size right.

I have a winter coat that matches it and it goes very well with it. I love it.

Is it suppose to fit tightly? The size I bought is comfortable, however if a strong wind blows the hat will go with it. The workmanship is superior. Next time I will consider purchasing one a size smaller.

This is my first Stormy Kromer and it won't be my last. I know now why it's been around since the early 1900's. IMHO, you can't go no better for a cold weather cap. The wool construction and flannel lining make for a very warm cap, and the pull-down ear flap is just enough to keep your ears warm during outside activities. I usually wear between a 7 1/8-7 1/4 cap and I chose the 7 1/4 which was spot on. This cap rides well on your head and is very comfortable.

My husband only wears this hat in the winter. He’s had his current one for over 10 years and it was getting pretty rough. So this is his “dress up” hat. He also has some in other fabrics too. But this one is his favorite. Basic black. We live in Montana and Washington state so great in both areas.
