Only fair reception as they receive via infrared rather than radio frequency. Lots of hissing and cutting in and out unless you're directly aligned with the transmitter. Sound quality is just OK. Charging cradle is fussy and difficult for the elderly to manage.Pros: The design and weight.Cons: Batteries cannot be replaced. When they wear out, you must send the unit in to have new batteries installed or, buy a new headset. The ear buds wear out quickly and are costly.Bottom line, TV Ears keep soaking you for money long after you've paid for them. There are better alternatives out there.

These foam TV Ear replacement tips are ok, but they are very expensive, and really do not last very long. I wish I could get them from a different (perhaps an "after market" supplier) but it seems that I can only get them from the TV Ears company. I never thought that foam tips would wear out. It used to be that they would DRY out long after you bought foam covered earphones--or that the foam would rip after a very, very long time of use. But these are only meant to be used for several MONTHS before you have to replace them.All in all, the TV Ears product is a good one, and works well--it does what it is supposed to do.

When watching TV, my wife and I are constantly raising or lowering the volume on the TV. With TV Ears all the hassle is gone. Of course those ear pads do wear out, especially when the grandkids get ahold of the TV Ears. I was noticing after the grandkids had left and when I put in the TV ears my left ear began to pain, I would adjust, however it got to the point it was very painful. Upon inspecting the TV Ears I noticed the pad was missing and only the plastic bud end was left. So I ordered here at Amazon.com and within two days, comfort and joy returned to my TV Ears!!

These were ordered for the man of the house who needs the television volume a little too high for my (the woman of the house) comfort. The TV Ears help a great deal. However I have noticed two problems. You can't talk to him while he is using them(some wouldn't call that a problem) and if he is not careful when removing then from his ears the little ear cushion pops off and the dog eats it. We have lost two that way and the replacements are a little expensive.

My husband had tried to repair the tips for my 95 year old father's set, but they were not wearable. We ended up buying another complete set of TV ears. Then I found these! What a great solution to the problem. Now he has 2 complete sets and tips to spare. Wish I had known about these before buying the additional set of ears. Live and learn!

These foam TV Ears replacement pads only weigh a few ounces. I paid $9.95 for a pack of 10 that's about an average deal, but when I tried to get them sent by the US Postal Service it wasn't an option that this company would allow. (an envelope with $1.20 postage on it), so they sent it UPS and it was sent "ground" which cost $9 which seems rediculous. To top off a really bad experience I had to wait almost 3 weeks for them to arrive. When I called the company after 2 weeks they said I should've paid $19.95 to get them in 3 days. " Why not $1.20 sent by US Mail and have them in less tha a week" ? I will not buy from this company ever again!

I ordered this as a replacement for the original set of ears. They were as featured and snapped right into the headset without a problem. They also came in a timely manner, as I really need them to hear my television. Thank you!.

These replacement tips are not worthy of the original product. TV Ears are great (and have probably saved many marriages), but the replacement tips don't work as well as the originals and fall apart in short order. There's obviously a reason why they have 10 or 20 in a pack. They are constructed with a small plastic ring inside the foam to lock over the nipple on the headset, but the slightest accidental twist in putting the headset on or taking it off and the rings pull out of the foam, making that tip unusable and requiring you to replace the replacement.
