Effective little tool
Very nice item at a considerable savings over other similar products. Made of plastic but accurately indicates correct corner angles for baseboard, shoe moulding and the like. Simple product but very useful. Don’t know how well it would hold in with daily, professional work...but, for around the house, it can’t be beat.

Its Accurate , Decent Build Quality, Good Buy
Its accurate. Ive used it on a small trim job and the miters were tight. Eliminates ugly caulk and speeds things up. The quality is ok. If you put some twisting motion on it, it will flex some but its not flimsy. Has a adjustment nut on the back for calibration if needed which is nice. The printed ink on the gauge doesn't appear to be jet black, its a lighter shade of black. It is just printed, the marks are not embossed or imprinted into the plastic. I do not store it in my toolbox where it will get beat around or anywhere it will get scratched up. Comes with a felt pouch. I keep it in that and in my drivers door pocket with the electronics gadgets like laser measurer, stud finder and etc. All in all it was a good purchase and I see no reason for paying more for the yellow one.

Takes the guesswork and trial and error out of mitered corners for baseboard
I am a DIYer and have installed my fair share of floor molding. It’s always been tough to get that just right joint. I saw this tool on You-tube being used by a finish carpenter. He recommended it, and for the price, I picked one up. I used this to install about 1000 feet of new baseboard in a Reno i was doing. It worked really well. Just hold it in the corner, read the gauge, set the miter saw to the angle and install. It worked really well almost every time. For the price, this is definitely worth picking up if you do much baseboard.

Great tool
We were remodeling our batt and had some odd angles. The perfect tool for the project. It give you the angle and tells you how to cut it for inside or outside angles.

Works but cheaply made.
Works ok. Just really flimsy, have to be careful that you aren't bending it when positioning to measure. Of course a nice aluminum version is really expensive, so I deal with cheap since I don't use it often.

Wow so easy to cut angles trim with this tool.
Just did a lot of trim work and figured I would get one of these to make better cuts. Super easy to use and really gave me tight fitting cuts. Should have bought one of these years ago.

Works well.
The need for this item and others like it arises out of the longstanding tradition of calibrating tools with the reference point being a square cut, so a square cut is labeled as zero on a miter saw, and angles other than square are measured by their degree of deviation from zero (square.) It's a perfectly reasonable way to introduce simplicity to the mitering process, but a square cut, in strictly geometric terms, is actually 90 degrees. Labeling it as zero works well because on a miter saw where 90 degrees is defined as zero, a 10 degree cut (for example) on the left is the same as a 10 degree cut on the right without requiring addition or subtraction from 90 to make equal left and right cuts, whereas if a square cut were labeled as 90 you would have to set the saw on 80 degrees on the left and 100 degrees on the right to make the same cut. The problem with labeling 90 as zero comes when you measure a non-standard angle on a wall or staircase or whatever, and wish to transfer that angle to the appropriate cut on a miter saw; from the geometry of it, you would ordinarily just measure the angle in degrees and divide by 2 to bisect the angle, but when you take that angle to the miter saw it's totally wrong, because the miter saw references 90 degrees as zero. The formula for making the conversion is to measure the angle, divide by 2, and subtract 90; the result will work in the miter saw. (If the result is a negative number, ignore the negative.) ALTERNATIVELY: you can buy this little angle finder (I did) or one like it, and voila! It's easy.

Looks the same and performs just as well as the more expensive versions.
