Best tool ever!
It's not often when a tool far exceeds my expectations. This tool is great. I had six 3'x3'x18" holes to dig for footings for a patio cover that I am building. Not only did this tool make it possible to quickly dig through decomposed granite and hard clay, it also allowed me to chip away about 6" of an existing concrete footing that was interfering with my new footing placement. I also chipped out a 24"x24" hole in my 3" thick existing patio for a footer that was within the existing patio boundary.Although this isn't the right tool for demolishing large concrete areas (it took me about 15 minutes to chip out the 24'x24' patio section above), it is ideal for smaller jobs that involve chipping away concrete or digging through extremely hard dirt. The light weight makes it possible to use horizontally as well as vertically, which is very useful. The smooth startup and lack of any major vibration make it possible to use for extended periods of time without tiring. My only complaints is that there aren't longer digging blades available. A 24" digging blade would significantly reduce the need to bend over when digging holes.I've already thought of about 20 projects that this tool will help me with as soon as I finish this one. I just wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago.

Power
first I rented this tool @ home depot $80.00 per day and realized how Valuable it is to have throughout my project. My project ran about 10-days and used my purchased tool every day. when purchasing the tool i also purchased a 3” spade to assist in work. I used this tool to build a 45’ linear wall- i cut away the hillside some areas up to 3’ high- i am 100% please with this tool and it’s power, Durability and positive results it provides working with me.

Great quality and usefulness
Great quality and usefulness, one of the best $500 spent in my business. Rented a 20lb demo hammer before, it's too heavy to hold for hours. This 11lb demo hammer is easy to hold and handle (but still enough impact for tile removal, tack strip removal and light concrete work). Great quality, long cord, good plastic storage case with room to close lid without too much cord wrangling & a separate storage area for up to 4-6 attachments. Very pleased with its versatility; found more uses for it than I bought it for in construction.

Solid but a bit underpowered
I'm removing a standard 3-4" concrete slab. This tool does the job but it's a bit underpowered. Good for the price but based on my experience with the tool, I wish had purchased a somewhat bigger machine.

Easy to handle
I have a new home without landscaping; hard baked dry earth with lots of large rocks. It is light and easy to maneuver, i use it for digging with a spade bit and it turns the hard earth into easily worked dirt. I have used it to chip, break, and clear old concrete, dig up and break up embedded rocks. It is a great time and back saver and well worth every penny.

Excellent for demolishing concrete pillars....
So i'm doing some demo work in my courtyard....demolishing some brick pillars that were built wrong. Upon demolishing, I was using a pick axe to break up the center concrete block. This was taking on average of 10 minutes and a lot of effort to break up the concrete. When the Makita arrived, it was very easy to get started. Simply grease the chisel tool into the Makita and ensure it's locked into place, set the dial and start hammering away. What took me 10 minutes with the pick axe took me less than 30 seconds to break the concrete block up.Awesome tool....I'm all about working smarter....not harder!
