and the bases are nice and heavy
These lamps really exceeded my expectations. They are very attractive, very well made, and the bases are nice and heavy, so you won't have problems with the lamps wobbling or toppling over. They take up very little space, so they are perfect for my loft, and they were also very easy to assemble. I was really surprises by the excellent quality given the very low price. Initially, I wasn't impressed with the look of the shades. They seemed to be a grayish color, but when the lamps are turned on the entire look changes and the shades give off a warm glow. I would definitely recommend purchasing these lamps.

Great set. Good value for the style
Stylish and a very good deal for the set. I wish the taller one was about 6"- 8" taller, but I'm happy with the pair.

Caution...
This is a nice light set, however, the manufacturer placed one of the pole pieces in the wrong direction and I had to cut the electrical wires, reposition the piece of the pole that was in the wrong direction, and rewire the light in order to get it to work. Someone in the manufacturers' QC department wasn't watching.
