Ludwig LE97 Handheld Sleigh Bells

The Ludwig LE-97 Sleigh Bells are very beautifully made of one piece of turned hardwood, with beautifully sounding sleigh bells mounted on all four sides and the top. The sound is mesmerizing and surely this product is the gold standard among all sleigh bells on a stick. I highly recommend this product. It will last a lifetime and longer. I am a pianist and play for many social events. I always take along my bag of about 30 rhythmn instruments and especially during December, I always include 2 or 3 of this Ludwig Sleigh Bell Stick, the party guests love participating in the musical fun.

This is what sleigh bells should sound like. Very well built. Should last for years. Deep tone and crystal clear sound. No ringing. Also bought the SBL-25. They are a little brighter tone, but just as rugged built as the Ludwig. Will use both, depending on which sound fits the music.

These bells sound amazing in a live rock setting, a little loud like other buyers have mentioned in a quieter venue though I would still use them. The only issue is like all other bells similar to these is the 25th bell on the end. I removed it and replaced it with a wooden knob so that it can be played using both hands, now it's killer!

Sound was not as rich as expected and very heavy for long term usage.

These are fantastic. But you need to know that they are not lightweight. I bought these for recording purposes. I'm glad my drummer friend, a consummate professional, is going to play them in the session... because it's going to take some muscle and a steady sense of rhythm to get through a 4 minute song! Even he will be working up a sweat after the first take. Happy Holidays.

I love these sleigh bells. Replacing my old bells I've had for 40 years. Great feel and has the classic sleigh bell sound. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for that classic Christmas sound!

What an awesome set of bells. I use them as Santa and man do they make some noise when we sing jingle bells with the kids!
