Smooth and Mellow Taste
I see a lot of coffee purists and/or coffee afficionado's are upset that it is only 10% Hawaiian coffee. I don't get bothered by that as long as the taste is good and this coffee is delicious! Plus it keeps the price lower. No bitterness in this batch. My first pot was made too strong and it was still a mellow flavor without any bitterness. Today's pot was made perfectly and it could not taste any better. Where ever they are getting the other 90% of their coffee, it still better than most coffees I have tried. The flavor profile is definitely not nutty or chocolaty but has more of a floral note. It is a true medium roasted coffee bean, so a little goes a long way. One thing I can't answer is whether this company is consistent with their beans. I buy a medium whole bean coffee from my local supermarket and it is usually the best coffee for the money but as of late the beans have been really light roasted and I have to double the amount of coffee to get the right flavor. If this company is consistent with their roast, they will get my business.

Definitely Buy this product
Definitely buy this coffee for yourself or as a gift. I am from Hawaiʻi and this is the coffee I drink. I make it a point to order every year for my friends on the mainland. Good taste, nice blend and the price is right.

My goto medium roast
Good price. Easy to re-seal pack. Preserves flavor 3 weeks. Aroma of grounds and brewed coffee is great. I have found this to be a great base where I can add other flavor grounds or stand alone medium roast. This price is good for about 3 weeks of 1 pot a day coffee. I have purchased this and other flavors of this brand and have always found it to deliver on flavor, aroma, freshness, caffeine and value.

The 10 percent Hawaiian gives it the edge over supermarket whole bean coffees
There is a different flavor to this Hawaiian coffee. It is distinct, richer, and has a certain something to it. It is not KONA, nor does it taste like Kona coffee, but its a shade better than Columbian coffee whole beans. Shelf storage life I think has a lot to do with it. It is possible that Amazon puts their own coffee brands on the shelves or warehouses longer than a company like say Aldi's supermarkets. But the Aldi's Columbian ground coffee in a can is good for the first brew, and that's it. After that all the Aldi's coffee in the can tastes like regular coffee. In whole bean coffee, storage time counts. Staleness comes upon anything that is a food or beverage. Fast in, fast out matters. Still worth the buy. Try it, I think you'll like it. It's not Kona, but then again this is 1/4 the cost of pure Kona coffee. And you cannot taste the Kona in the blends. As an addendum, it should be noted there is nothing else in the world that tastes as good as Kona coffee, but last I looked, it is 50 dollars for a 12 oz bag. I had pure Kona probably some 30 years ago in Florida, maybe more. The taste is unique and unmistakable. Once you have had it, nothing else measures up. That said... there is ten percent of Hawaiian coffee in the bag. Its not enough to taste it, but that soft mellowing of regular coffee is no doubt the Kona taking the edge off, and making it slightly better than supermarket whole bean coffee. All in all at 7.65 a bag for whole bean coffee, its still a buy. If it goes to nine or ten, I will look for something else... probably Gevalia coffee from Sweden, because their DECAF coffee is the best decaf on the planet, bar none. So there.

flavorful, less sweet
I really like this coffee. Alternating with Dunkin Donuts, i find this is more flavorful and less sweet.

Below average at best
It tastes like below average coffee. Was cheap so I thought I would take a stab at it. It’s bitter and not smooth. It’s not even Hawaiian coffee (10%). I’d pass if I were you.
