We placed 2 at a 44" kitchen island counter top bar, 3 at a 38" bar, and 1 by an Arcade1Up machine (roughly 34") and they fit perfectly at each of those spots. The bar stools are super easy to assemble. They took longer to take out of the box and unwrap than put together. Speaking of which, the bar stools came well wrapped and protected. One of the boxes had a fairly big hole on one side, but the bar stools themselves were undamaged. Each one is very well made with no problems adjusting their height (not cross threaded). There's a bit more gray in seats than I expected, which I personally enjoy as it gives them a bit more character. We've had multiple get together's in the house and our visitors sat comfortably and spun around freely in them. I can see them lasting in our home for years to come. They look just as presented and work just as described. A word of caution that only adults should use them when set at a taller seating height. They can sit very high and a small child, or even an early teen could fall off as it does not have a supporting frame for one's back. We ordered 6 of them for the bar in our restaurant. which will be opening in the next couple weeks. They are perfect! We love the range of heights they can be adjusted too, just by turning the seat. They are super duper sturdy and very comfortable, If you are on the fence about ordering these, don't be!
