If you struggle with "trust issues" this book is for you
I have been reading and now watching Iyanla Vanzant on TV for at least 20 years... I love her work because it's helped me grow, heal, and evolve in so many ways!! This book is no exception and was right on point, after a series of losses that I've experienced over the last year... After reading this and understanding that trust is a process and a choice that starts with me and not the actions, situations or behaviors of others, I feel more empowered and equipped for the natural unfolding of my life journey, one step at a time... Thank you for this jewel, it's right on time for me and I'm sure many others!!!!

The Story of My Life
It's so unbelievable how the book depicts EVERYTHING I went thru as a child - even still today; she's picking me apart w/this one. I know This book Trust - story of My Life is the last hurdle leading me into my destiny. As for the writing style : its therapeutic, repetitive at times (maybe purposely i.e., she IS a counselor ) it also chucked full of examples of real-life situations that depict trust issues that the un-skilled would never pick up on... That's why we keep spinning our wheels - going no where. If you feel like you're stuck, not going anywhere, or in your own way - you MOST LIKELY have trust issues or unforgiveness in your heart. Come on!!! Get it dealt with. I'm telling you this book is releasing my mind from all kinds of bondage.

Learning to trust starts with this book
I simply can NOT shout to everyone I know how amazing this book is. How much it has changed my life and the way I live it! I love this woman already but this book helped me see myself for all that I was when it came to trust.Of course I couldn't trust others. I couldn't trust myself and it helped me see what I needed to change in order to start there. Her stories are always entertaining when you hear her in person and no different in her book. They help you understand her message and where it fits in your life.I highlighted and wrote all over this book and recommend it to everyone struggling to trust anyone or anything.I didn't care the part on Ferguson and the way cops are treating people of color. I completely agree but it was a part I quickly skimmed through and didn't get much out of it. But the rest of book was great and one I keep by night stand.

Mastering in trusting.
This book taught me a lot about trusting in myself, God and others. For a very long time i had a hard time trusting people. By reading this book it gave me hope that i can trust people but, i must start trusting in myself and everything else will follow. It a must read book in my opinion.

If your looking for a Christian perspective, Keep looking.
I guess I assumed this book would be written with a Christian perspective since the cover contains God. But It's not from a Christian view. God is male or female.....that kind of stuff. It was a turn off for me. I didn't agree with the list of being those that you should trust started with yourself before God. Anywhoo, looks like it's a great book for others but not for me, I'm glad I only spent 2.00 dollars for the Kindle version.

AMAZING
This is an amazing book. So much knowledge put into such practical yet deep and profound language. I could learn so much and will definitely read it again and again. It taught me a lot about trust, my past and how to overcome traumas from the past, and how to live a joyful life. Thanks

One of her best book.
Best book EVER! I have never read a book by her that was not life changing! I've never ever been disappointed by any book purchase by this author. I loved the book so much and it transformed my life so much. That I gifted this book at least three times. This book comes highly recommended, but you still have to do the work.

Priceless
I came across this book by chance. It brought together some things I had learned along the way and some I just did not understand before reading this book. Iyanla uses her excellent talent for breaking things down and use of personnel experiences to explain the seemingly unexplanable. Another enlightening book that has contributed to my personal development. I strongly recommend this book.

Not as expected!
Very very very repetitive, and I struggled to complete reading to the end. This book could have more concise and shortened so the main points are articulated in less than 50 pages. Not a pleasant read for me. I bought this book because I liked the title and the concept, but I didn't gain a lot of new information or insight as expected. However, I do feel it has opened my mind and heart a little to the concept of trust in general, which is a positive.

Feels like home
I am a big fan of Iyanla, and as a coach myself I am totally aligned with her philosophy and outlook on trust. This book is thorough, rich in wisdom and grounded in its approach to what can be a nebulous subject. Even better, Iyanla's voice, her real life examples, and down to earth writing style mean this exploration of 'trust and how to do it in the real world' is practically very useful, which I suspect is just what she intended. Highly recommended. Go Iyanla.
