So enjoyable!
I grew up blocks away from Sears. It was a place to hang out when we were kids. The park was beautiful & the store was fun. I loved studying the history & howeverything got started, I had forgotten that it had its own railroad, that dropped offgoods directly at the complex. As a child, I remember thinking how huge the wholecomplex was. Blocks & blocks long. As an adult now, its remarkable to think of allthe generations of people that worked there.

Great book
Having returned from a recent trip to Chicago and seeing the remnants of the old Sears West Side Catalog Plant while there, this book gave me in depth information about this amazing complex of buildings that went up in 1906. Great book with great archival pictures.
