This arrived on Jan 30. I charged the one device full in a couple of hours and turned it on. It's now March 12 and still going strong. I've placed this on a short staircase that could use a little light when going down in the dark so I don't have to turn on the light. It senses motion well in the dark and turns itself on. It has a wide-angle sensor and I've never come near it without it turning on. Now, regarding some comments about brightness. In a dark room, a little light goes a long way. What do you expect, a floodlight? This is not what this is for! If you have an area, such as a staircase, where some footlights in the dark would be helpful (not to mention be safe) these can be placed anywhere. They are small enough that you could even put them on the stair step itself along the wall (who's going to trip on a small object placed next to the wall?). They are perfect for those kinds of environments like stairs where there is usually no outlets. Next, a comment that many people have made about the lousy sticky tape to attach the metal plate to the wall so you can then attach the magnetized light to it. Many commented that it'll ruin the wall and rip the paint or wallpaper off. Don't use it then. Why risk it? I have a railing going down the stairs and I attached a nearly-invisible nylon filament to the light and hung it on the posts that secure the railing to the wall. All you see is the little light and it lights up as you pass by. If you are concerned with a Better Homes and Gardens image, then hire an electrician to install multiple outlets a/o a lighting system. If not, these lights will do just fine. I absolutely recommend these little guys for placement in areas where you need a little light and there's no outlet. I think they are excellent for placing along stairs or in bathrooms or perhaps closets where you just want some light without having to bother turning a light on - or, don't have a light. I'm impressed by the battery life. UPDATE SEPT 2, 2024: These lights are STILL working on the SINGLE, two-hour charge on Jan 30, 2024. That's SEVEN MONTHS of continuous use (not continuously ON but continuous motion sensing and turning on when anyone passes by, which is scores of times a day).... still going strong! UPDATE NOV 3, 2924: The light FINALLY went out and it needed to be recharged. That's NINE MONTHS of constant use on a single, 2 hour charge on Jan 30, 2024! Outstanding! These things work, they work well, and they work for a long time. Excellent product!

I purchased the AUVON rechargeable night light two pack to light a dark hallway. The units are small (a little over two inches on a side and about 3/4 inch deep) with two switches on top. One toggles between brightness settings, and the other is an on/off/auto switch. The light produced is a pleasing soft candle color and is more than adequate to provide sufficient illumination to allow you to navigate a darkened room or hallway. The front face of the unit has a motion sensor that is sensitive enough to detect movement at 10 or more feet. The light will remain on 20-30 seconds after the last motion is registered. The units also have light sensors, which prevent auto (motion) activation in daylight conditions. The units charge fairly quickly, and a USB-A charging cord is included. I found that a charge lasts quite a while, depending on how often the units are activated. Excellent value for the price

I can't say how much I love these things. One of the things I hate about hotel rooms is how dark they are when you wake up in the middle of the night and have to wander around in the dark trying to find your way to the bathroom. Then when you turn on a light it's like turning on the sun midday and wakes you up more than you really want to be and well... anyone else in the room they're now awake too. I love these because they are motion sensored and they are rechargeable. I brought these on a length trip out of the country recently and ended up just using one. It stay charged for the entire trip without having to be recharged and it worked flawlessly the whole time. It's light weight and small so fits inside luggage easily. Senses movement well and offers just the right amount of light. You can change the brightness if it is too dim or too bright for you as well. If you want to keep it on all night, you can swap it to just ON instead of motion sensing. Worth every penny and would recommend to anyone! Absolutely love it!

These were purchased after another brand did not work out so well for us. As others have noted, they are small. But they put out plenty of light. We are using them in a shared bathroom where turning on the main lights would be a problem. The adjustable brightness works well -- we use them on the lower setting and it's just right for a night light. The color is soft white, not the glaring blueish-white of some LEDs. The motion detection is quite sensitive -- they will detect motion at 8 to 10 feet even off to the side. They stay on for 20 seconds with no activity, but will re-trigger and continue to stay on if there is any motion in their detection zone. Other lights did not do this. Another reviewer complained about a failed charge cable and thought it was proprietary. It's not -- it is a standard micro-USB cable. The battery life seems quite good so far -- over a month on the first charge. The magnetic mount is nice. Only minor complain is they will turn on (or stay on) if there is what I would consider adequate ambient lighting. I was initially concerned that might needlessly reduce battery life, but so far it's not a problem. Can't comment yet on long-term battery or other life. Will update if it's a problem. Overall: Recommended. Update 10/30/23: I used one of these lights on the Auto-On mode for well over a month without recharging. Out of curiosity, I charged both and set one to the On position, with the intensity switch in the lower light position, i.e. on continuously. After 4 days of continuous use, that light was starting to be noticeably dimmer than the unused light, but it was still more than adequate to provide some illumination in a dark bathroom or hallway. That's 96 hours of continuous lighting on one charge (on low light setting) -- and still going, like the Energizer Bunny. Pretty impressive. In addition to being very good night lights, I have found that they come in handy when working in tight spaces -- under a dashboard, in an engine compartment, in a refrigerator (don't ask...). The magnetic mount lets you position them easily, on the high setting they are relatively bright, and will often fit where other lights won't. Now that I know they will last for hours, it is kind of fun finding new uses for these. Definitely recommended.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This light set it super light weight, attaches by magnet to a sticky tab you place on your wall. It is easy to set up and to use, is reliable and provides decent light. You can set it to leave on, off or motion. They are small enough where it is convenient to use in your closet or even in a camper, as well. They arrived nicely packaged and on time. I would order these again, honestly. The only downside, hence the 4 stars, is that the sticky part is not as sturdy as it should be within a higher humidity area (i.e. near a shower stall), so you need to place it accordingly or it will keep falling off the wall. I've struggled with positioning it for one of the areas that I really need a night light.

we purchased this same brand a few years back, except those ones had to be plugged into an outlet. These are cordless and rechargeable…yahoo. They have a sticky back so you can adhere them to a smooth surface. You could place this on your boat or RV, so it will go on as you step inside. I never travel without this. It makes navigating around a strange hotel room much easier. We’ve taken them camping as well. We also have power outages randomly and keep this on the side counter, so it’s quickly available,,,then we can use it while we get our regular lanterns out. We have the plug in ones placed randomly throughout our house, to guide us and the grandkids, when you’re grabbing a late night drink or hitting the restroom. These have made our grandkids so much more confident, making their way through the house at night. (No more turning on the main overhead lights.) They provide enough light so you can get to where you’re going. They have 2 levels of brightness,,,,we find the low one is plenty. The motion sensor is pretty sensitive and the light stays on for about 30 seconds. You could even mount this under your kitchen cabinets,,,,they are so lightwieght. This would be a great addition to keep in an emergency kit. We have several little solar chargers, so that makes these super great for camping. We have given these as gifts as well. They are super light weight and compact.

Nine month update (3-2020): still working well and I have not yet needed to recharge them. Very happy with this purchase and plan to add a few more. Four month update: I have been using this since my purchase in June and have not yet needed to recharge them. I have them set on low setting. They come on quickly, and turn off after about 30 seconds. Perfect for the trips to the BR in the middle of the night. Warm light: I missed this and it may have swayed my purchase. Warm in comparison to cool (IMHO) is just not as bright. But that was my mistake, I should have read it better. Too soon to speak to the duration of the light but I will return to comment on that. I have them set on Auto-bright. I intend these in the hallway/stairway as motion lights for trips to the bathroom. They seem a little weak for this in comparison to the battery operated (3 AAA) cool motion sensor lights I have now. I have used them for about 2.5 months now and the cool lights are already needing a new set of batteries. So maybe these will be worth it - even though less bright - if they last longer. We'll see. Be back to report at a later date. At this time I am not yet ready to recommend these lights since they are rather dim. UPDATE: downgraded to 3 starts. If these worked - even with the dimmer light I would recommend these, they are enough to see at night and not bright enough to really wake you up. But only one works as described on AUTO. It turns on at night with movement and turns off after a few seconds. The other one turns on but never goes off - even after several hours. Sometimes it stays on during the day time as well. I switched the 2 thinking maybe there was a something moving that the sensor picked up but it made no difference. The light is dim enough in the hall isn’t that it does not bother in the sleeping rooms even with the door open. But this does mean that the light has to be changed more frequently - the very reason I purchased this item was the advertised months of use. I wanted to contact the seller about this but there is not option to do so - either return it or live with it. UPDATE: customer service contacted me and within a short time I received a replacement for the faulty light. I now have 2 lights that work as described. It works perfectly so I changed my rating to 5 stars. I now prefer (lucky mistake on my behalf) that this is a warm light since I use it for night trips when only dim illumination is needed. If I have concerns in the future I will update this review again. And there is a now a button to contact the seller in the choices. So in future, you would only need to contact them, not write a poor review. I added video to show the difference in the light output.

I was looking for something to use as night lights on a cruise and these were perfect. The magnets allowed me to attach them to the wall and fixtures. The motion detection worked well, and these were just bright enough to help light a dark bathroom and night without needing to turn on the main light. I love that they’re rechargeable (so they won’t need batteries); the charge lasted all week of a 7-night cruise (on motion-detection mode). They’re small so they fit into a toilette kit easily.

I must admit that I did not take much notice of the dimensions of these lights when I purchased them. On arrival the package was small and I thought they had only supplied one unit. I was wrong. These lights are small and the two units as promised were in the box. No assembly required and they are charged and working straight out of the box. No batteries needed as they charge via USB with a supplied cable. When charging an amber light shows in the name logo and goes out when fully charged. There are three settings. Off. On and Automatic. The light brightness has two settings and is achieved by pressing the round button. Low and High are available. Set the light to automatic and the sensor in the front will pick up movement and switch the light on. It goes out after 30 seconds or so. They are very useful. I have one in the bathroom and one in a cupboard. They maybe small but the light is more than enough. They have a simple magnet fitting. Stick the magnet where you want the light and the unit mounts neatly to the magnet. Easily removable for charging. They look great on the wall and are small enough not to be noticed.

Works well and nice to have in dark areas without having to use an outlet.

These lights are a great addition for nighttime convenience. I’ve had them for over a year now and use them in the bathroom on the low setting, mounted on the ceiling light fixture with the magnet on the back. I alternate between the two on auto mode. One is always recharged while the other is in use. Each light lasts for months before needing a recharge. The sensor picks up motion well in the dark, though you need to be at a minimum of 1-2 feet away for the best activation. It works well enough to pick up my cats movement on the ground during the night.
