Thomas & Friends Wood Toys Help Kids Imagine a World of Play as They Create Fun-Filled Stories with These Cargo Cars Featuring Fun, Floating sea Animals.

Since Fisher Price took over design and manufacture of Thomas and Friends toy trains (and destinations, etc.) the product design and quality has been all over the board - and I've often been...unimpressed, to say the least. I get it - it's big company, with lots of employees (one person isn't designing and developing all this stuff), and they need to achieve need high margins, as required by "Leadership" and, of course, shareholders.Sometimes they come out with some really nice product, though, and this is a great example. The product team really did a great job here! Whoever designed this really thought about how kids like to play, to wit: instead of the "cargo car" being a lame box of plastic, it's a 3-piece open cargo car (wheeled base, removable open cargo container (sturdy clear blue plastic), and removable shark) so kids can put whatever "cargo" they want in it. Endless, open-ended creative play - YEAH.The wheels and blue plastic parts are fluorescent (glow under UV light). Yeah it's a mostly-plastic toy, but it's high quality, well-done plastic, with pad-printed logos and nice detailing.That cargo car, though - it's cool! My son will be playing with it for years, for sure. I hope they make more open cargo in the future using this design.

We never have enough train cars so these were a nice addition. The aquarium is unique and interesting and sort of matches the aquarium trucks in one of the stories we have. However the lid that is show that goes over the shark doesn’t quite fit and we end up flipping it over and it’s more like a fish bowl for the shark to swim in which is fine just not quite as depicted

When I showed my 3 year old some trains to choose from, he said "I WANT THAT ONE!" with enthusiasm. He has played with it a ton and loves the shark that comes with it. Highly recommend if your kids like playing trains.

The items are a nice edition to add to a train set. The tanker is heavy and durable which is good because it contains liquid. The hammerhead shark is cute but the pool falls off too easily and often. Poor shark.

Grandson really liked this addition to his collection of Thomas Trains! This train is transporting a water filled tanker with a shark!

My son is completely obsessed with this little set! He loves the train cars, the liquid motion and carrying around the little hammerhead shark! Such a cute train set.

The shark car is 3 pieces, tank comes off the car and shark out of the tank. Great gift for a Thomas fan and/or train enthusiast

My grandson loved these train cars. Since they were exactly like the trains in his book, our almost-3 year old recognized them immediately. They fit well on his wooden train track. I just wish the hammerhead shark was enclosed, as it will surely be lost in no time!

Bought this item as a gift for a toddler.......he’s in love with it! The shark and stingray (I think these are the sea creatures in the cars) are pretty cool to a toddler. And, well, Thomas is super awesome too, of course!

Cute and well made, however the shark and the tank it’s in are loose pieces, so they are easily misplaced/lost. My 5 year old loves collecting Thomas trains, and he was thrilled with this one.

Grandson loves these Thomas and Friends wooden trains. They are durable and I highly recommend them.
