Danish Design 2 In 1 Light Reflective Four Seasons Removable Polar Lining Dog/Puppy Coat 16 Inch 40 cm

The coat was bought to replace the originals bought almost 10 years ago for our 2x10 kg medium size Tibetan terriers. Unfortunately we lost one of our dogs recently and thought it about time to bin the old coats, which were still serviceable but elastic on legs very loose. I have researched other makes but I particularly like this design having an inner fleece lining as well as waterproof outer. It covers enough of her under carriage but not as much probably other pet owners might prefer but okay for us. Easy to slip on and Velcro fastener. Opening on neck is for collar and lead , if using harness would need to put it over the coat but we personally don’t use the harness unless in the car or over long on lead walks. Just a little niggle, Googling dog coats on Amazon did not bring this make up until I put the actual brand in which I could only just discern from my existing dogs coat. That said, good quality prompt delivery and service as usual.

This is an excellent dog coat and has the bonus of being able to remove fleece for summer rain

45cm blue coat is the perfect size for our staffie, who has a skin condition which means he has hardly any fur. He loves it, he has worn it with the fleece during a cold snap and without fleece when it was raining.

This is a fully waterproof coat that is helping to keep our dogs dry.We have bought several supposed rain coats for our dogs in the past. However, we have noticed that some of them are only 'water resistant' - i.e. rain slips off them to a point, but some of the rain still gets through.As far as we can tell, this Danish Design coat is fully waterproof (or at least it has been for walks of around 30 to 40 minutes in moderately heavy rain).An added benefit is the detachable fleece lining. The fleece is quite thick so would add a considerable amount of warmth to the coat. I don't think we will ever need to use it. Our dogs tend to race around and I think they will be warm enough with just the outer, waterproof layer. However, if your dog is slower moving or you live in a colder part of the world, this is a very good quality fleece lining. You simply attach and detach it using the large velcro pads.In terms of length of coat, we measured from our dogs' collar to just where their tails sprout from their bodies. The coat itself seems to start about an inch or more below our dogs' collars. So the coat sticks out perhaps an inch or so past where their tails start. I hope that helps you to decide on the right length of coat.A great, great coat.

We've had this coat for a few weeks and it's been throughly tested out in the last few days! It held up well on our general evening walks - about 2 miles with rain off and on. But what really impressed me was our weekend walk in the Peak District. The heavens opened up - 2 hours non stop rain - it was a deluge! I was prepared for a soggy doggy when I lifted the coat off her, but to my surprise she was bone dry underneath! I'm very impressed!The coat itself is durable and well designed, especially the area under the chest. It was very simple to measure up - we got the 18 inch for our small collie cross and it fits perfectly (apart from the center strap - see below). The fleece lining is very easy to remove and re-attach. We don't use the rear leg bands but they are very handy. I like how the grey strap round the middle is completely reflective.The ONLY criticism would be that there needs to be more velco around the middle strap. Our dog is very slim and we either have the band hanging loose or it sticks up where it over laps. We use a harness over the top which keeps it snug to her anyway, but I imagine this would be a pain otherwise, especially in the wind.

With three failed attempts at buying a coat for my Shi Apso, I finally found this one.It's so cosy for her and rain proof too. Looks like it will wash well.I bought the 14 inch/35cms which fits her beautifully and is perfect....almost.It would have been so much better if there had also been an opening for a harness. She hates a collar and lead but she'll just have to get used to it this winter.Delighted that my search is over. Thank you.

In my time, I've had 3 little Dog's. My previous one was a little Papillon and my Mum bought him this coat, nearly 15 years ago, for him. I sadly had to say goodbye to him in October. I've since got a Papillon mix Puppy.(Was terrified to get another full Pap, after losing my Boy to their common heart conditions). I digress...my Pup is getting a bit bigger than my Pap was and this coat is getting way too short. I was reluctant to buy him a new one because it's such a great coat. I was delighted to find and order the same design today! This time in Blue, rather than Black. The coat was so reliable and tough especially in bad weather. Love the fact you can take the lining out for a rainy summers day and my Boy is toasty warm in Winter! Brilliant coat and dread the day they stop selling them. They look cool too!
