Perfect for Applying Make up in Powder Format
The aDesign Professional 2 Piece Makeup Brush Kit - Powder Power Duo I like quite a bit for applying powder foundation, highlighters, and blushes. It's been hit an miss for awhile to find makeup brushes that can handle loose as well as pressed powder makeup very well for me. Often I end up with a huge powdery mess on myself and counter top as well as a splotchy finish, however, not with these. The All Over Powder brush I mainly use for a base foundation as well as for setting powders. It's rounded and large in size. It has even distribution in not making a huge mess everywhere or having the powder lend to hold onto the brush too much instead of being applied to my face. The Refined Powder brush is best for highlighters, blush, and application to contour lines. It has a smaller tip that's angled in a way that gets those sharper edged quite well. Both brushes work well in complimenting the finished look so it's great they are offered in a set. These come in a stylish box and include a sheet of all the brushes in this line. The brushes feature a black and gold handle. The bristles are completely black. The brushes each feature what they are for on the bottom end on side while the other side has the company name. The handles aren't too long and are designed in a way that they'd fit in most makeup brush holders. There is a bit of weight to each brush which makes them seem a better quality. The brushes feel comfortable in my hand when in use. They are very soft to the touch and comfortable sweep over my face when using them. The brushes have been easy to clean after each use as needed. I'm happy to not have any loose or stray bristles coming out of these.I am pleased that the brushes are responsibly made and cruelty free! I feel the brushes will last a long time. I am quite pleased. Recommended!

Nice dense brushes
My daughter is very skilled in makeup and has many brushes. She doesn't really prefer this density, but she did like the feel of them. They are soft for synthetic bristles. Sometimes with synthetic, if you bounce the ends on your face, they almost hurt. Maybe it is the way the edges are cut or polished or something, but these do not hurt. Maybe it is just the density that prevents each hair from stabbing you! I don't know, but they don't hurt. They do have dense and shorter bristles. They sort of give you a less diffused application with that design. I like that for contouring, although you may need to blend a little with a bigger brush later. I usually put blush or setting powder on after contour, so that fluffier brush helps to blend any harder lines. I do notice that the brush that matches my Shade and Light palette is softer and doesn't kick up as much product in the pan as this does. So I am just more careful, using a more tapping than sweeping motion. One brush is slightly angled while one isn't. I haven't really noticed any great benefit between the two, they both seem to work pretty much the same. Overall, they are decent brushes for the price. You do get two in the set, and they aren't that different so you could split the cost with a friend.

These brushes are alright if your expectations aren't high
These wouldn't be my first recommendation for everyday eye makeup application. These would be my back up brushes, in case something happened to my regular brushes.Pros: I like that they are cruelty free, so no animals harmed to make the brushes. The brushes don't shed, so far in my experience. Reasonably priced. Super soft. Packaging is recyclable.Cons: The brushes are a little bit large for detail. They do an OK job of holding on to product to apply, but require going back to the product continually to get more. They are quite lightweight. For the price, you can do better than these brushes.

Pros and Cons
This is a review for the aDesign Professional 2 Piece Makeup Brush Kit - Powder Duo.I am pretty fussy about my makeup brushes; the ones I have used for years are quite pricey. I think they’re worth it because they have lasted a long time and retained their shape and softness. They’re also comfortable to hold. These aDesign brushes do feel very soft and silky. Of the two brushes, the smaller one was my favorite and great for putting on blush. I rarely put powder on my face but I did for this review and the big brush was just fine. The density of the synthetic bristles really helps the makeup adhere and distribute evenly to your face which is a big plus.My only critique would be that some makeup companies have brushes that are more ergonomic - I don’t want to be nitpicking but I have gotten used to the more comfortable ergonomic brush handles so I just mention that in passing. Not enough to take off a star so 5 stars for me.If I should have any problems with these brushes and should they start losing bristles prematurely, I will come back and edit this review.
