Nice new features
Toggling between lead and top rope settings really improved the belaying experience when using the grigri+Another quality product in this outstanding series. No regrets at all.

Easy to use for beginners
I bought this after reading up recommendations for beginner climbing. It's an assisted braking device with auto lock if you pull the lever to far back. It helps locking the rope if you get nervous or freakout while letting someone down, which I naturally used the first few times. I have been using it for around 3 months now. It took a few tries to get used to the device but all smooth once you get a hang of it. It's well made, sturdy, and feel secured.

Great product, but not for rappelling
Great product, and would have give a 5 star if it wasn't so hard to rappel with. It constantly trips the panic feature as I am going over the side of the cliff.

Pay close attention to instructions to lock and unlock the knob that switch from LC to TR.

I was so nervous to start using a grigri again , but this makes our climbing experience so much better and we feel safer with the anti-panic feature on it as well!

Mal servicio del repartidor
Excelente equipo! Sin embargo el repartidor lo lanzó sobre la barda. Afortunadamente está una reja antibichos, sin embargo el equipo de escalada, como se sabe no debe golpearse o caerse. Puede ser mortal para el escalador. Ojo ahí con los repartidores Amazon!

A good belay device for a beginner or for teaching
although the panic handel can take a bit to get used to, this is a very good device for helping people learn belaying before they are ready for something without assistance. this is also good for any time you think you will be holding someone (or something) for long amounts of time.
