C&D ValveCD2060 Large Thumb Screw Core Depressor attaches to 1/4 M

Finally, pulled this thing out of its bag today and folks it worked perfectly! No leaks, not a single one on the 15 units I serviced today. I just wish I'd purchased two of these. I had previously ordered two of the smaller 5050's and they both leaked from the shaft, this reason I only purchased one of these.I found that fitting that attaches to unit seams like it wants to turn for days, but you don't have to overly tighten it for it to achieve a good seal thanks to the packings. Once it's attached, install your hose, it doesn't have a shreader valve in it. You get to turning before your hose is installed, yep.I noticed only a wisp of refrigerant when I disconnected the hose. This thing worked great, its perfect for some of the those hard to reach fittings on some of the smaller units.All in all the adapter I received worked perfectly, no leaks, and in my humble opinion absolutely earned a 5 star rating.

No more refrigerant burnt fingers!!! Way better than a low loss fitting.

It arrived on time. Others complained it was hard to turn. I disassemble it and applied oil the the stem and O-rings. It works much better.I haven't used it yet but I expect it will work as expected. I'll update later.This will be very useful when gaging up to the high side especially on critically charged units. Just back it off, open both high and low side to allow any liquid to return into the low side for minimal refrigerant loss.

It works really well it's very smooth to operate and I no longer get frostbite because I'm too lazy to put gloves on. Does this job nicely!Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes.

This magical device not only adapts the 5/16 minisplit port to a standard 1/4 but it also allows you to hook everything up before depressing the schrader. No longer do you have to dump half the charge while in frozen finger panic mode. This simple tool has saved more time, money and sanity in the last month than nearly any other tool I own. Maybe just behind my 3/4 vacuum hose

Used twice then on the second uses after a few seconds up to a minute started leaking but they qickqly are sending out a replacemt only thing is it won't be here til Thursday so basically having to wait a week will update after I get to use it a few time and see hiw it works this product is great for hvac techs like my self

Works as designed, no leaks, no wasted refrigerant, no hand freezer burns, I am very pleased with the quality and safety of the product.

While checking pressures on a unit, depressor froze to the stem in a depressed state. Freed the depressor with channel locks, stem stayed frozen wide open. Lost the entire charge on the unit and got a pretty gnarly refrigerant burn on my hand. 30 feet of lineset plus the factory charge spew out of the unit. Will not be using this ever again and will not recommend anyone use this.
