Review: Perfect fit! - Great replacement handle. Fits and works great!
Review: So much leverage! - The handle on my old La-Z-Boy recliner broke years ago in the middle, right at the end of the little metal tang. I tried gluing it back together with some gorilla glue (good stuff), but it wasnt able to hang on long term. So for a long time I have just been using a half-length handle that pokes you a little when you grab it. Then one day I thought to myself, I bet desertcart has a replacement part for this. There weren't a lot of choices, but this one fit the bill. The new handle is installed, and I can recline with ease. Pros: - It exists. Nice find for a probably 20 year old chair. - It fits - It's affordable Cons: - The threads were kinda junky. I had to really crank the set screw through before attempting to install. And you could see the shiny spot on the set screw threads where it pushed through the uneven/funk/whatever was stopping smooth threading. Once pushed through, it was fine. tighten, back off, tighten some more, repeat, and it should be smooth sailing for the install. - There is wood texture, but no attempt to make the fake wood coloring like the original had. But of course that wears off eventually anyways. It's just brown - Be ready with your own hex wrench to remove the old one and install the new (same size wrench for both in my case)

A: It fits the lazy boy. Not sure about Lane.

**Q: Can someone clarify the star and square fittings for this handle? i've got a square rod attached to my handle. do both fittings come with the handle?**
A: My chair has the square rod too.  but this fit just fine.  I think the star fitting is just so you can position the handle in just the right spot.  This handle fit my 1983 Lazy-boy chair perfectly,

**Q: Is there a similar replacement recliner handle that is longer? up to 15-inches preferably with a full tang internal strengthening rod in the handle?**
A: This is the only one I could find. Is a perfect fit.

**Q: what size hex tool is needed for this?**
A: You need a 3/16" Allen wrench for this.

I called LazyBoy and gave them all the warranty information for my chair and received the wrong handle (for free but with 12 dollar shipping) that was not compatible with my LazyBoy chair. I called them again, they apologized profusely, and after confirming all the details about my broken chair, they shipped me another handle for free, however, it was the wrong handle again. So... I ordered this handle through Amazon. It arrived within two days and of course it was the right handle for my chair. It took less than a minute to install and the handle has worked flawlessly with no sign of loosening up.
