Simple to convert, even for me
Bought these to replace some of the nonworking lights in the garage. Bypassed the ballast, brought the white wire to one side and the black wire to the other side, wire them in and put the lights in place. WOW! Really bright!! Love it and can't complain. One note: If you watched the video the manufacturer put on here, you'll notice that they brought the wire from the ballast to the left and right side... WRONG! Bring the wire from the power supply to each side, completely bypassing the ballast (and remove it if you want).

Good quality, works as intended
These are awesome. A couple cuts to the existing wiring, throw on the wire nuts, and away you go. Both ballasts in our kitchen light were bad, and we wanted to switch to LED rather than get more tubes. These made it super easy.Make sure you shut off the power at the breaker- or put tape on the switches so your roomate can't accidentally turn it on while you are working on it. 121v AC makes a strong tingle that took a while to go away. These need a cover over them. They make yellow lines, which or very noticable if you have white cabinets (kitchen install). Hoping a diffuser cover will help with this.

Great Bulbs if you can get 4-bulb set
I ordered the 4-pack which seems to not be available now. Now, you can only purchase a minimum of 6, from what I've seen. How many fixtures take SIX bulbs??NONE that I've ever seen. Seller is just trying to UPSELL to 6, which I HATE.The bulbs themselves are very good bright white lights. NO complaints with the product itself. My problem is that you should be able to purchase a 4-bult set which is what most people want and need.Wiring instructions to remove the old ballast was clear. Even your average dull person can remove the ballast and install these bulbs. If the seller brings back the 4-bult set, I could give this FIVE stars.

Good! Cheaper than others
I do like these as they have the warmth I was looking for, two did have a ding in them but did not stop them from working and you can't see the bent area with my cover on as seen in the picture. These are the blubs where you need to reroute the electricity from the ballast. I quickly youtube this and got directions. Be smart, always turn off the electricity at the box when doing any wiring. I am so glad I did this!

Good, but beware!
So the color on this set of bulbs is very very close to a normal t12 bulb. They provide a bit more light (i wanted that as well) than the normal ones. However the shielding sucks on them. Itβs on the same circuit as my bedroom fan and it interferes with my fan remote. Lights on in the kitchen, no remote in the bedroom. Shut them off and it functions like normal. Took hours of fighting with my fan to figure this out. 433mhz remotes are a problem.

wow
they're bright and the wife is happy. they are a significant upgrade over just changing bulbs out. they were easy to install, no more ballast to worry about now. for those who are hesitant, do be. all you have to do it wire them straight to power. remove the ballast or bypass it. what sold me was the fact that we went through those bulbs fairly fast and i wasn't 100% sure the ballasts weren't part of the problem. for me, it was about $10 more than replacing the tubes and then the ballast were in question. i might have had to swap out the ballasts as well. with these, i was paying a bit more than just the bulb price, and getting WAY more light. i also was able to remove potentially part of the problem. even then, they'd go bad eventually and it would end up cost more later.

Great LED Bulbs At A Great Price
I have installed many LED tubes over the years but these might but the best... Better quality light, no humming, and not more flickering. Plus instant on with no warm up on a really cold days. Easy install but read the enclosed instructions (LINE on one end, and NEUTRAL on the other end).I replaced (4) 4 tube fixtures (16 bulbs) with just 2 tubes in each fixture (8 bulbs). With great light quantity and quality. So there is a REAL cost savings in power overall. The fluorescent bulb your replacing is a 40W bulb, the LUMINOSUM LED your putting in is only a 22W bulb. So in a room with 4, (4 tube) fixtures you will have approximately 640 watts. Now in the same room with LED LIGHTING, you will only have 8 tubes total (2 per fixture). The power consumed should be approximately 176 watts. THAT IS 72% SAVING IN POWER CONSUMED.

Should have done this years ago!
Very well packaged and shipped quickly. I used 10 of these lamps to replace 12 T12 lamps in my workshop and should have done it years ago! In case it helps others I took before and after light level readings and the average space lighting went from 199 lux to 366 lux! Keep in mind that this was replacing 12 lamps with 10 leaving 2 of my 6 fixtures with only a single lamp. Had I replaced all 12 lamps the average light level probably would have been about 450 lux, more than twice as bright as when I started. Not that I really need the light but I might replace the last 2 anyway since the 2 middle fixtures look like the have burned out bulbs in them now :)

Never as bright as 40W Cool White fluorescent tube.
Much dimmer than original 40W Cool White fluorescent tube. Furthermore the light is not uniforme like a fluo; when I put back the white plastic lamp cover, I can see strikes of light along the cover instead of the nice uniform white light. Very disappointing! Also, once you modified the fixture to instal the LED tubes, it is hard to go back shall you not be happy, as it calls for cutting wires, removing ballasts, etc. It is feasible but you will need to get wire twist connectors, and some patience.Oct 7: I removed a star; we found out that these induce White Noise into your sound system! So you trade the fluo hum for white noise in your speakers! This is bad!!!

Excellent retrofit for fluorescent tubes
I bought these LED tubes to replace old fluorescent tubes. The LED tubes are brighter than the existing old fluorescent tubes. Note that this type of LED tubes requires BYPASSING the ballast. This needs about 5-10 minutes work on each fixture to cut the wires and disconnect the ballast and connect the LED tubes directly to the 120-V supply. In some previous reviews, I read some people just replaced the old old fluorescent tubes with these LED tubes, keeping the ballast. Apparently, this will cause problems. If you don't want to touch the wiring and want to keep the ballast, you need a different type of LED tubes.Overall, I am very happy with these lights: very bright and no more noise from the ballast.

Fluorescent lamp replacement with much improved brightness and no more buzzing
Very well designed and manufactured product. I replaced the fluorescent tubes in the bathroom and kitchen fixtures and now have much brighter and more natural (5000K) light. To bypass the ballast is super easy as the package included a well-marked diagram to follow. Hopefully, these will last as well as saving electricity as advertised since my kitchen light fixture is on most of the day.

They are a massive improvement over fluorescent tubes, and don't need any ballast.
I'm completely happy with these tubes. I'm overjoyed that I can completely cut out my ballasts, and just stick these tubes in, and they run flawlessly, with no more ballast buzzing! They are super bright, 4000K, a very nice white, I mean it looks somewhat stark, but I don't care, they are a fantastic massive improvement over fluorescent tubes!
