Yes. They are very skid resistant compared to many. My job occassionally has me in a kitchen area and these perform fine. Considerably better than the hiking boots I sometimes wear to work instead.

Sometimes, depending on the kind of socks I wore on that particular day. The thicker your socks are, the better they absorb the sweat. Sometimes when thick socks were not helpful enough, Gold Bond Triple Action Relief Foot Powder was very helpful. They left my feet feeling dry and clean at the end of the day.
