IF you are expecting cotton patches you will be disappointed. Maybe.... I was able to clean Copper out of my Super Copper Fowling Savage faster than I ever have before with these. They are made out of some synthetic material that streches and is very thin. you can fold this patch over or fold it in half twice and it fits more snugly. I bought the 2 1/2" square patch and used them mostly folded over twice. when i did this and used copper remover I was getting streaks of yellow copper more than I have with traditional patches. It took me 1/3 or 1/2 the time it normally takes me. I think because they are so thin you could use these even in a .223 if you didn't fold them. Have not tried. they do not tear at all and dont get stuck. even if it did get stuck I think you can just push it through... they are a great addition to my regular patches because they are so different. odd charictaristics. hold fluid very well. not sure what they are made out of. I burned one (pictured) and you can see they are some plastic nylon material. turns into hard black plastic when you burn them.

I've always used cotton cleaning patches in the past. Their disadvantage is they tend to leave fuzz behind, but they are absorbent and clean well. These Boosteady patches don't leave fuzz behind, they're not as absorbent as cotton, but do well enough. They're kind of thin and slick feeling, so I often have to use two or even three at a time, negating any savings I might have seen. I haven't tried many brands of cleaning patches, but once these run out I will probably try something else. If you do buy these, they will do a good job cleaning, but they might not be the best patches out there.

It is gauze and works well when cleaning the guns

I am not sure what they are made of but they do work well. They are thin so you may have to stack 2 or 3 but that allows you to adjust the fit of your cleaning tool to the barrel you are cleaning. They do not leave lint behind and are inexpensive enough that using multiple patches is not cost prohibitive.

Great product for the money. It came with many of the pads. Which was great. I did give about 1/2 to my son & still have plenty. Will be buying again when the time comes.

Great pads and do what they are meant to do. Poor description though on the site and packaging box. On the site it said the product was for 9mm guns and when I received the box, it showed nothing about 9mm but showed all other weapons it cleaning is meant for. Had me freaking out as this was the first time I clean my gun and purchase this but again, it does the job

Better than the patches that came included in my name brand cleaning kit. They rarely leave any lint. They don't tear. They pick up junk well, and leave lube well. A little thin, but the quantity makes up for that because I can just double them up as needed.

These are far too thin to effectively clean the bore in my .243 or 6.5mm barrels let alone the .30 cal their advertised for.Unfortunately, doubling them up or folding makes then too thick so pretty useless. They're also very fragile and can be pulled apart in your hands.

These are decent quality for the price, but very small. Work well on .22 or .17 but not practical for larger calibers.
