i have used kettles all my life and this one is just the same as all the others i tried. Put in water usually room temp sometimes i like to trick it and put on Cold water from the fridge. Whatever type of water i use i get the same results.I switch the power on click the on button see the little blue light up and then wait. Usually about 3 mins later it switches off and i have glorious Hot water to make my Tea or Coffee but it can also be used for other hot beverages maybe to pour down the drains to clear them, the choice is yours.

Replacing one that had broken, lovely product, lasted 5 years

I love the design of my grey retro kettle but the look of it is ruined by a black flex and plug. I have no idea why Swan would use black, I mean nobody has black sockets. It should come with white flex and plug really as the vast majority of people have white sockets. The functionality is absolutely fine, a bit loud but most kettles are. The off/on switch lights up blue when switched on. The lid is a bit stiff to get on and off but better that it's tight than loose

I got this to go with the other swan retro range and love it, it looks great, easy to lift.

I love mine. Haven't had any issues as yet with it. Pours nicely and boils relativity quick. Just in time before my baby to wake up and me to have a nice hot coffee.

Yesterday it made a loud bang and sparked, it had shorted out and no longer works. It should be replaced under manufacturers guarantee but I cannot find any way to return it.
