Just like new
I decided to buy this Macbook Pro 2017 with a lot of fear after reading in the reviews that things not always go well, but anyway with no few doubts I made the decision and I bought it. And lo and behold, I couldn't be more satisfied. My biggest fear was to see that the laptop arrived in a very simple cardboard box, I would say a poor packaging, only partially secured and with packing tape. But don't worry, inside there was a jewel very well protected by on of those inflatable packaging. Once the box was opened I could not believe it, it was new to the naked eye. The exterior was simply spotless, it had minimal scratches, something like if it had been used for a month, the screen had a tiny 1 cm scratch, but so small that the screen needs to be turned off and one must make a lot of effort to find it. I think the charger and cable are not original, they look good anyway. The battery was half full and it took me less than an hour to fully charge it. I upgraded the OS to High Sierra in about 1 hour 15 minutes. The battery on the other hand has 219 cycles and its status marks as normal. While I ordered space gray and got a silver one I really can't complain. It is the first time that I have an Apple computer and I have been using only 24 hours to realize that this Laptop is in very good condition, it turned on very quickly, is fast and everything works wonderfully.

Disappointed
I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the of this laptop. I had high hopes when I purchased it, expecting it to be in "excellent refurbished condition." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Right off the bat, as soon as I opened the laptop, I noticed debris all over the screen and keyboard. It was not a great first impression. To make matters worse, there are several deep scratches and very noticeable dents on three of the four corners of the screen, as well as two on the keyboard. Another letdown is the keys. The "a" and "e" keys have clearly rubbed off from use, which is expected for a used laptop. However, instead of replacing them, they simply put stickers over them. To top it all off, the screen is covered in what appears to be small chips or scratches. I could overlook these cosmetic issues since I purchased a case that covers most of them. Unfortunately, I have my concerns about the performance of it as well. Firstly, the battery has already reached 573 cycles. Service is already being recommended. Furthermore, the generic charger that is included takes an incredibly long time to fully charge the battery and, to make matters worse, it gets excessively hot during the charging process. Lastly, even during regular usage, the laptop itself tends to become very hot after just a couple of minutes. Considering these performance-related issues, it becomes increasingly difficult to justify the purchase of this laptop. The only reason I am hesitating to return it is because I urgently need a laptop for school, and I simply do not have the time to ship it back and wait for a replacement.

Great Laptop, Very Neat and Fast
I’m very happy with this laptop. The setup was easy, the performance is fast and smooth, and the screen is clear. It’s lightweight, very neat in design, and easy to carry around. Battery life is solid and works well for everyday tasks, work, and browsing. Overall, great value for the price and highly recommended.

Quality you’d expect, with fast shipping. This MacBook Pro still holds up
It’s in great condition, with no real noticeable scuff scratches or dents. The specs are as described, and it does exactly what I need it to do. Mine has a higher battery cycle count at 800 cycles, but that’s to be expected with an older laptop. Arrived next day after purchase, packaged very well with an included generic charger.

The Charger doesn't work
I have had this laptop since Friday, and I love it. The computer itself seems to work perfect most of the time. Seems to match the description as far as cosmetic details and performance. The only complaint that I have with the seller is that the charger that was included with the laptop does not work. However, with it being 2023, over half of the chargers that I have in my house are USB-C already, so it wasn't a problem for me to look through my house and find a charger that fits it. This could be a problem, though, for someone that may not have as many technological devices in their home as I do, because they may not be able to come across the correct type of charger like I was able to. This would result in someone either contacting the seller and requesting a new charger, which would more than likely take about a week to receive in the mail, or they would need to go to their nearest retail store and buy a charger that would fit a MacBook, which, in my experience, are never cheap. If someone did choose to wait on the seller to send them a new charger, this would result in not being able to use the laptop until the charger arrived, because the battery in the laptop definitely will not last more than maybe five hours tops with heavy use, let alone the week that it takes the charger to arrive in the mail. The description item says that the battery would last around 10 hours. One must keep in mind that the amount of use that you get out of any device depends on what you are doing with the device (how much you use it, the processing power needed to run the programs that you are using, gaming, video streaming, etc.). So, I can't really complain about the battery, because I have been using it rather extensively since I received it in the mail. There are some, very few, but a couple of cosmetic dings on the device; None of which affect the way the laptop itself runs and functions. All-in-all, I would say this was a good purchase, and, so far, I am very happy with how it is functioning. If something happens that the computer was to tear up or quit working for whatever reason, I will come back and give an update. Note: I only give the "accuracy" part of the review four stars because I was told that, even though I would not receive an actual Apple brand charger, that I would at least receive one that works for the same purpose as an Apple brand one, which is, of course, charge the computer. It does not charge the computer at all.

Very please with this laptop - works well. The only issue is that the N key is chipped on the top and the light shows through. I filled the key in with a black marker so that the letter N is now the only thing visible on the key.

Just the classic Mac user experience - fast, smooth, easy to operate. I am a Windows PC user, but found the transition to Mac for working on the road really easy - only thing that I still can't get used to are some of the keyboard shortcuts, as the Windows shortcuts are really ingrained in my way of working. The only real problem I have had is using OneDrive as my main drive. Perhaps there is a solution, but I find that navigating within the OneDrive file structure using the Finder to be pretty annoying - no easy way to sort by name or date as far as I can see. My solution has been to download work and work locally, but that means I lose the security of the cloud. But the machine is really good in every other way - clear images, almost no latency on anything, great range of functions for photos. I haven't found a drawing programme I like as much as PaintNET. Battery life is great. Recharges v. quickly. No Wifi or Bluetooth connectivity problems. I got the Magic Mouse and that is one system I actually think is superior to MS-based mice: the sensitive surface and gestures are better than having three buttons.
