Very simple instructions for newbies to this beautiful craft.
I loved the color photos of the various stitches that you learn throughout the book, lets the reader see exactly how the stitches should look when done correctly. This book is great for crafts persons looking for affordable, relaxing needlework hobby to take up. Tells you what supplies and materials you need to get started immediately. Also, the book is written in a straightforward matter, no technical jargon, perfect for newbies, like myself.

It’s a great book for adults but far too complex for the kids (preteens) I teach.

It was a little bit shorter than I expected, but it did have a lot of information. Stitches are shown clearly with photos and diagrams. I liked the explanations of fabric and thread types, and that it went over the similarities and differences between embroidery and cross stitch. Definitely worth the read.
