I use them for basking platforms for my Tegu, monitor, blue tongue skink and Dragon they are perfect for that I think the company would do well if they sold on reptile websites there are no other products out for that purpose that’s a natural slate

The second set are much thinner and the foot pads on the bottom were very cheesy . Will try and reorder and hope for a better match to my first ones that I love

Its unfortunate that 2 of the 3 arrived broken. They are wrapped in plastic and surrounded by foam, but still broken. I needed these for a Party. unfortunately, I'm now going to have to return then and find something else.

The trick is to use oil after washing. Then give them an other rinse. Oil stains gone! Quality isn’t bad. Some are thicker than others but it’s natural stone so what do you expect. I bought a second set to make a complete one. So far no complaints.

Visually, these are attractive to use due to their natural texture and colour. The non-use of chemical treatment is also a plus point. However, the slates are extremely brittle and porous. A piece of the corner just broke off from normal hand washing with dishwashing detergent leaving a dangerously sharp corner that could cut your fingers. Would not recommend this for use with young children. Also, the porous nature does leave oil stains still visible after washing. This is only after the first use. You really need to be careful in usage for the looks of the slates.
